Opposition party leader Sam Rainsy said on a radio programme on Monday that corruption and joblessness could lead to a rebellion in Cambodia on par with recent protests in Tunisia and Egypt. “I see that it is not long … that there would be such a situation in Cambodia that is the same as Egypt and Tunisia, where people have ousted leaders from power,” he said during his Candle Light Radio Program. Phay Siphan, spokesman for the Council of Ministers, said Sam Rainsy was attempting to throw the country into disorder for his own personal political gains.

In the past Pharmacist are great career but today Pharmacist profession is the same as Accountant Graduate. They are facing unemploy and the wage is keep going down hill at Australia as well as United State. Most Pharmacist are part time empoly only, No sick leave, no holiday pay, work as casual who say Pharmacists are rich is very wrong. Actually register nurse is even better than Pharmacist profession in term of wage and working condition. Please don't tell your kid to become pharmacist that is very bad idea.
Pharmacist in real working world is like a sell men or sell women. The boss push the pharmacist to increase sell or the Pharmacist has to terminate by the boss. Customers don't respect pharmacist at all, Pharmacist do everything in the small shop including cleaning, put stock away, invoicing, marketing for front shop, kiss ass customers everyday so hope they would come back.
Pharmacist hardly advice customer to use the medication properly because time is money.
Most pharmacist really on MIMS software to check interaction. Pharmacist read the MIMS from the computer before they advice customer. If the customers ask hard question Pharmacist refer to Doctor.
Please don't push your children to be Pharmacist. It is not that great profession because everyday Pharmacist meet sick,rude and crazy customers and the wage is going down hill nowaday

He is a dreamer, not a realist.
He speaks so naively with such optimism. No way Cambodia can have such an uprising, no matter how the situation is, and probably is worst than Egypt already right now. The problem is Hun Sen keeping a tight lit on everything before it hits the spark, and with a population so under nourished in terms of technology, communication, and free association, the environment for a popular uprising of the people is not possible --- not as long as a dictator as SMART and RUTHLESS as HUN SEN continues to hold power!

My personal opinion, I think the Khmer people will never make even Tunisia and Egypt, for the following reasons:
1 / The Khmer people has known war for 20 years
2 / The regime of Pol Pot had killed more than 2 million Khmer
3 / Youn invasion and establishment of the regime of Heng Samrin, Chea Sim and Hun Sen is in power for over 20 years
4 / All state institutions are directed by Youns and Hun Sen clan
5 / The generals and soldiers are the majority Youn, Hun Sen and pro-
And the Khmer people did not want to go to war, all we ask is to live normally day to day. It is unfortunate to say that but it's reality.

That's bullshit 9:31PM. That's just an excuse for Hun San to stay in power forever. The jews went through hell too such as the holocaust which killed 7 millions of them by the Nazis during WWII. What's happened after the WWII? They united together, fought a war and was able to claim their country back. Now that's called bravery and courage.
It's been over 30 years now since the Khmer Rouge. Most of the population are under 30 so these people have never experienced war. The reasons why khmer people won't revolt against Hun San like the Tunsians and the Egyptians did:
1) Most Khmer people care very little for their country. That's why they blindly follow any leader who leads them regardless if the leader is a dictator or anything worse.
2) They are afraid of power, people who have power over them. Over there, power and money always win. If a rich and powerful man hits a poor man, the poor man will go to jail if he's not already dead.
Rainsy ! Egypt and Tunesia are different from Kingdom of Cambodia.
You say what ever you want, but you are not strong enough to be a leader and commender-in-chief.
Egypt is depent on USA and west to support Israel.

I said that for now, the Khmer people is not strong enough to engage in social movements such as Tunisia and Egypt, there was no real support from democratic countries (Example USA,Europe) the Khmer people is not in a position of strength, perhaps in a few years, the time that younger generations are well educated in the Kingdom and realize that they have oppressed by Hun Sen and Clan and without freedom of expression, that is when where the Khmer people will wake up. But for now, it seems very difficult to fight the totalitarian regime of Hun Sen and clan.
I don't speak against MR Sam Raisy but Cambodia is quite different from Egypt. Why?
1) Egypt was never one time as communism country,
2) Mr Mubarak has never involved in the Killing field like leaders Cambodia
3) Eqytian Army serve for their nation a Egypt country, no fireigner forces.
4) Cambodia: Behind Cambodian polices and military are Viet in Khmer uniform and have absolute power in Cambodia because HUN SEN hire them working for him, that is th case why Cambodia will never be like Egypt
5) Khmer people most are passive in fight for freedom for themselft, belling yes but fighting.

How many Khmer people are killed or murdered everyday by general insecurity, traffic accident, poor health cares, poor nutrition, poor logging, food poisoning..etc? I beg so many. Just take example, an accident of Koh Pech alone, how many were killed in that accident because the hun sen gov doesn’t care about those people life? More than 4 thousands I suppose. That’s much more than in Tunisia or Egypt revolution. The worse is that those Vietcong cronies suck the helps that people from abroad sent to support families of the victims. During cool war, Khmer didn’t want communism yet Vietcong can created, handled the communist khmer rouge/Vietminh to lead genocide against Khmer. That’s because we are not strong enough nor prepare for it or to stop it. And how many were killed? More than three millions with all the destructions, disasters and tragedy that this genocide brought and continue to effect Cambodian life and society till today. And no, 7 January 1979 IS NOT THE END OF GENOCIDE BUT THE END OF ONE GENOCIDE because another genocide is led against Khmer by the same band of Khmer rouge. Vietcong just changed some of its key instruments and replaced by another ones only.

I’m excited to see many good comments on this subject. And like some posters, I ‘m not speaking out against Mr. Rainsy, but I must admit I’m very disappointed with his remarks. I’m not sure if it is a miscalculation from his part or a bad coincident for him, but every time, we are close to having an armed conflict with Thailand, Mr. Rainsy starts to make negative comments about Hun Sen government to cause division among our people. Why can’t he choose a better moment to make his remarks? His behavior only shows he places his political ambition above the interest of the Nation.
Recently, he has been very vocal about comparing Cambodia to Tunisia and Egypt. Does he have a plan and a mean to carry out his plan if the social unrest gets out of control? To me, Sam Rainsy is not different from any other politicians we have. He only cares for his own interests and is willing to sacrifice the nation for his own gain. the problem i see with individual(s) like sam rainsy is that he focus too blindly on regime change that can be misleading into people thinking anti-cambodia, etc... i think he should refocus his political energy on national reforms in all sector and introduction or reintroduction of civil society, rule of law, paradigm shift in leadership, especially, etc, with cambodia, instead of trying to inflame or oust his political opponent because it makes him look dirty and bad etc in the eye of khmer people as majority of khmer people and citizens rather see compromise, reforms, revamping, national reconstruction, national development, social development, better gov't services to the needy people, better education, better infrastructure on and on..., you know! sam rainsy, without consulting with wise people and learned individuals, etc is crazy and stupid, in that sense alone, really! of course, there are more to cambodia than sam rainsy. there ought to be a smooth transitional system even for reforms and changes in cambodia, you know! and it requires lots of patient, lots of life experience, etc, etc, ok! let pray that god will always bless cambodia in many ways.
