In order to let the these three groups living side by side peacefully, the new structure of the society in Cambodian must be created, and to have a new one will take a long time, plus people are resisting to new things and changes.
The result of any change, Khmer are lossing identity.
For example, take Kampuchea Krom, many places have been trade and trick by the Vietnamese which have made Khmer Kampuchea Krom with the majority moving up to the mountain side. The Vietnamese governmnent has never modernized any part of Kampuchea Krom, no infrastructure that leads to developement in the ear so that the land is so cheap so that if any Khmer Kampuchea Krom wants to dispose one land, the price of trade is so cheap so the Vietnamese bussineseman can be benefited. However, when the land has been bought and more Vietnamese move in, more price rised up.
For going to war, to take back the land from Thai, you are dreaming to make Khmer native to die, pool of bloodshet, and yet a waste of lives for the impossible. You can never get the land back even you kill the last person in Thailand. The UN and the countries who are friend with Thailand will not approve you, in addition, the map has been drawn and been recognized by the world, such as you imbition will never be possible.

The quotation makes a lot of sense. If there were another protest against the Viet like the Khmer did right after March the 18th 1970, it would not be that easy for the Khmer to deport the Viet. Their huge number alone makes it almost impossible, besides many high ranking officials are either Vietnamese or work for the Vietnamese.

My beef with this is not whether the issue is true or not. I don't need convincing of that fact, I frequent both Vietnam and Cambodia occasionally, in fact I am astounded that people who go visit Cambodia and ask me "where are the Youn?" Believe it or not, I voted with one in the last election :(.
My issue, please understand correctly, is the blurring of real news and satire. Because i put credibility on a high value, that is why I wrote that. It is the same high value that I hope can convince other people of the same problem I already see and know but they will refuse to see because they think Khmer have overactive imaginations.

in cambodia, it is hard to tell real youn from khmer krom because have the same youn accent when they try to speak in khmer language, really! i think what's more important to think about is the allegiance of these people to cambodia, not just they accent or outside judgment or appearance. i think pledge allegiance to cambodia as loyal citizens, etc is more important than their looks or their accents, really!
