The letter indicated that Sam Rainsy’s sentence is unfair because Sam Rainsy’s actions are to serve the country and the nation, therefore, he should not receive the sentences issued against him. The letter added that the absence of Sam Rainsy to lead the 2nd largest political party in Cambodia affects the multi-plural democratic system in Cambodia. The letter also indicated the pardon for Sam Rainsy will help him receive his position and his rights as a Member of Parliament back.
