To find out, why this ECCC so afraid of the four aging detainees speaking out, let me quote part of ECCC law Article 24, Chapter VII:

the right to interpretation, as necessary, into and from a language they speak and understand. End quote .
Some years ago we all might still remember ECCC refused to translate some parts of the Khmer documents which was related to case 002 ( Mr. Khieu Samphan ) from Khmer to French language for his French lawyer.
So ECCC did not comply with the ECCC law to translate language from and into as ECCC law above says clearly so this ECCC has been so afraid of the aging four detainees speaking out .
So CPP has tried and done every things to obsruct this ECCC.
So case 002 has been going on behind closed doors for so many years without releasing to public ( Khmer victims and their families ) .
So case 002 upcoming for public hearing will even more complicated and controversal in other word the Khmer victims and their families will not heard much during case 002 public hearing .
The main jobs of ECCC as follow:
1. Keep detaining the four aging detainees. ( so far over 3 years beyond detaining time without full public hearing )
2. No full public hearing ( afraid of the four speaking out )
3. Convict the four.
4. Lives sentences for the four.
5. ECCC close down , proclaim success , justice is done.
So ECCC and UN who signed agreements or contract with CPP has failed to fulfill their historic roles in this faked ECCC.
So ECCC is 100 % a failure.
