I am so thankful posting this article to inform everyone about Sihanouk and Kampuchea Krom and the recent political alibi of Sihanouk and his son and the King.
Before I read this article, I have asked many questions about Kampuchea Krom, how it became part of Vietnam during the French colony.
I am so sad that we have the prince of sabbotage. He has not only sabbotaged his relatives, but our belove land and million of lives has been vanished because his (prince) boshit elegant.
100% agreed with this article.
What should Khmer people do instead of point finger on this stupid king?
Khmer Krom should have 90% responsible for loss Khmer Krom land, Khmer Krom should increase activity during France control and make sure France did not transfer Khmer land to Vietnam, as far as we knew some Khmer Krom official associated with Viet for their own interest rather national interest.
Instead of depend on this stupid king Khmer Krom should take more responsible by engaging with France Adminstration and make sure France has to respect Khmer Krom sovereiggty.
Khmer Krom should had expelled ethnic Viet by take up arm and organised front against France Administration that migrated Viet to Khmer Krom for rice grow for export.
Instead of blame this studip king now, during colonial day Khmer Krom should have done alots of thing in order prevent land loss. Now Khmer Krom still have not united with each other in order against Viet, there are difference group serve difference purposes that lead to disaster again.

This poster has no knowledge of Khmer-Yuon history and has no knowledge of geopolitics in SEA.
Sihanouk did not give Kampuchea Krom (Mekong Delta) to Yuon, it was taken by Nguyen family for along times ago. Nguyen came with a big army and mass population. That was Yuon expansionism strategy. Do your own search from very old documents in Europe, you will find so many source and you will understand it, and don't read this flame taht is not accurate, don't let this bad source tempt you.
Whoever wrote this article that person is a flame maker, I don't know what this person's intention but it is real bad.
One thing that Sihanouk should be held responsible for his crime was that he allowed Yuon to use Khmer territory to fight against American. Because of Sihanouk that was why Khmer Rouge were born. Sihanouk can do nothing with Kampuchea Krom that lost to Yuon Nguyen for a long times ago.

Oh my my.. I was just told by friends that this author is not even real Khmer Krom but Vietnamese. No wonder he falsified the history.
Yuon archives some are not accurate, Yuon falsified the history, it may be their behaviors.
With the war between China-Vietnam, the Yuon will try all possibilities to embarrass China and Sihanouk, and I can understand their propaganda.
But to falsify the history and said that Mekong Delta lost because of Sihanouk, is BAD. Because the history is being stored in Dutch and French Libraries few hundred years ago.
I said again that Sihanouk crime was he allowed Yuon to use Khmer territory to fight the American and he led Khmer to die in KR.

Mekong Delta or Chin China or Kampuchea Krom (Lower Cambodia), they are the same. The person who posted at 11:56pm is right, he knows the history well.
That land was conquered by the Nguyen warlord from Hue, since the Dutch mercenaries were in Cambodia, Siem and Cochin China. There were many wars between Khmer Kings and Hue warlords because of that land but Khmer didn't have a big strong army even Chinese helped to fight, still can't compare with the mighty army of the Nguyen.
About that land King Sihanouk has nothing to do with it. I read that he tried, but it lost to the Nguyen for hundred years ago. Yes falsify the history like that is not good and it only cause tensions between the ignorant people who have never read any single page of history with the ones who know the history well.
The problems why Khmer lost that land, because Khmer population is so small and they can not match with million of the newcomers Vietnamese.
I agree with the person who said the author named Ly Diep deliberates spread to harm Sihanouk. I am not fond of Sihanouk, but this Ly Diep is against the facts.

If sihanouk didn't allow the north Vietnam to use to.fight.the south. We all be speaking Vietnamese converted catholic..who ever wrote this doesn't understand the common since why American and France was there..they were help south converting Vietnam and allow south to.abolish us for not following them. North wanted independence from the French and south wanted the north to convert. That why it was.civil war...
