Thailand has hired three foreign legal advisers to help fight an International Court of Justice case filed by Cambodia.
The three attorneys are from Australia, Canada, and France. Considering the importance of the case, the Bangkok Post is providing an introduction to the lawyers.

Mr Crawford is a professor of international law at the University of Cambridge, the United Kingdom. He is one of England's top international barristers and has worked on cases in several international courts, including the ICJ.
He represented Malaysia in a dispute with Singapore over the sovereignty of Pulau Batu Puteh island and in another dispute with Indonesia over the Ligitan-Sipadan islands.

Mr McRae currently holds the Hyman Soloway Chair in Business and Trade Law and teaches international law at the University of Ottawa.
Mr McRae has been a member of the Permanent Court of Arbitration since 1988. He was elected to the United Nations' International Law Commission in 2006.
He was a counsel for Canada during an arbitration with France over the St Pierre and Miquelon maritime boundary dispute in l991 and 1992, was a legal adviser to New Zealand on maritime boundary issues from 2000 to 2005, and counsel to Suriname in a dispute with Guyana in 2006.

He is one of the most distinguished French experts on international law and has made a name for himself as the representative of several countries before the ICJ in the Hague.
He is one of the most active lawyers practising before the ICJ.
In addition, he serves in an advisory capacity to international organisations on issues concerning administration and international legislation. He has been a member of the UN's International Law Commission since 1990. He was the commission's chairman in 1997.

you know, lawyers will represent anyone who pays them big bugs to represent them, by profession, you know! i think, it's the last effort for thailand or siem as they are known in khmer language in their desperate attempt to continue to violate icj ruling, the international treaty of 1907 that saw the creation of the present-day international boundary lines with cambodia's neighbors, not to mention siem's attempt to steal preah vihear temple from cambodia as if they did not have enough of ancient khmer temples in the old khmer provinces that saw the golden age of cambodia's angkor khmer civilization, etc!
we have to wonder how much siem is paying these foreign lawyers to fight the icj with cambodia. well, god is on cambodia's side as god's way is the right way to do in accordance to the law, justice, etc, etc... may god see to it that siem thug-like intention will not be successful with cambodia.
can't wait to hear the icj reminds siem the statute of limitations that expired since 10 years after the 1962 ruling. thank god for the statute of limitations, icj will clarify and interpret the ruline once and for all. we will be happy to see this case clearly and permanently after this. let the law work!
siem are emotional creature and they kept on rankling despite the court of law verdict, etc, etc... apparently siem people have to sense of understanding of the statute of limitations. we all know it is cambodia's khmer khmer civilization that built preah vihear temple, not siem, really! and siem's continue violation and ignore the international treaty of 1907 map is in itself a violation of the law as they attempt to block easy accessway from cambodia to our preah vihear temple, etc... anybody can see siem's true color in regards to cambodia's preah vihear temple; apparently siem wants a share of it which cambodia will never ever share that with them, you know, especially given what siem thugs did to cambodia and khmer people already, really!

Prime Minister Hun Sen is ver good at killing Cambodian people but why don't Prime Minister Hun Sen send his bodyguards to kill these three thai lawers and Thai PM.

Cambodian just get out the killing field and civil war. Thai has been enjoy peace for many years, and yet here they are, can not even get their own people to represent their country. They have to hire foreingers to help them. A population of 80 millions people, can not get someone to represent their country. To me, that is not impressive. Yet again, it all make sense if Thai educated, they would not be attacking Khmer for Preah Vihear and the land around her.
Three White lawyers for Thai might get highly paid with very big buck. I am sure that Thailand will lose again because Preah Vihear Temple was built by Cambodia/Khmer more than 900 years ago.
Thai people have been educated, but their educations are not reliable about the History of Khmer Empire and Thai people lost their identity, still figure out where they came from originally and are still confused. I am sure Thai were originally from Nanzhao province in Southern China (Yunan) as the refugees after Mongol Empire armies chased them out and destroyed them as Tai (today called Thai after Siam).
I can't believe these three professional hungry greedy bastards are going to represent the thief and robber of Khmer for centuries.

You people in this blog should understand that Thai fight for the interest of their nation, therefore it is best that they hire foreign lawyers to fight this case regardless. Do we have foreign legal team depend our case at ICJ?

another of siem economic bullying cambodia, not just with military might, but economic might as well. of course, we knew that. yes, it's called bullying cambodia. siem thugs they can buy justice and law, really! well, thank god, icj and the court of law cannot allow that to happen, really! the court will only use legal aspect of it like the international treaty map of 1907, the icj ruling of 1962 that comes with its statute of limitations and the court will consider the fact that cambodia was preoccupied with civil war, KR atrocity, etc, etc, so the court know that siem thugs had been taking advantage of cambodia all along, not to mention during cambodia's dark ages era as well, you know! god bless cambodia in the name of justice and law. this case is very specific in itself, really!

These days Thailand has so much money that it can afford to wage war on Cambodia! Beside the point, Thailand has never and ever respected International Court of Justice because the stolen properties in Preah Vihear temple has never turn over to Cambodia the rightful owner until now! And not only that Thailand aiming to destroy the temple by shooting over 400 around artillery shells at the temple and the damages are well documented! If Thailand want to argue in International Court of Justice to put fence around the Preah Vihear temple to stop the development of the area by Cambodia and Thailand needs to think again! With or Without Thailand the area of Preah Vihear temple is under Cambodian sovereignty based on the French map of 1904 and 1907!

1907 map came before 1962 verdict, what is siem thugs rankling about, really! even if what siem thugs said about the icj did not rule on the adjacent shrub of land, we know in 1962, we know 1907 map came before 1962, you know! no siem unilateral map is accept; they are taken advantage of cambodia during our internal strife, etc. we see their true color clearly now and cannot trust the siem thugs anymore, really!

icj in 1962 don't have to say anything about the map, it goes without saying as the map was already official since 1907; siem claim makes no sense in according to the law, really!
