HA NOI — National Assembly vice chairman Uong Chu Luu has affirmed the consistent policy of the Vietnamese Party, State and people to enhance the fine, neighbourly relations, tradition of friendship and comprehensive, long-lasting co-operation with Cambodia.
Luu made the affirmation to the visiting chairwoman of the Cambodian Senate's Commission on Foreign Affairs, International Co-operation, Propaganda and Information, Ty Borasy, at a reception in Ha Noi yesterday.
The Vietnamese National Assembly Office and Cambodian Senate Secretariat had actively carried out co-operative programmes in personnel training, information technology, media and popularisation which, Luu said, were practical activities to help deepen the relationship between the two legislative bodies.
He took the occasion to propose a close collaboration between the Vietnamese National Assembly's Committee for External Relations and Ty Borasy's commission in acting as counsellors to the two countries' leaders and assisting bilateral co-operation.
Both sides should consider the signing of agreements to secure the legal foundations for implementing co-operation and bring the relationship to a new height, he said.
Ty Borasy congratulated Viet Nam on the successful recent election of deputies to the 13th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels.
She informed the host of her delegation's working session with the Vietnamese National Assembly's Committee for Social Affairs, saying that the experiences of Viet Nam's legislative agencies would be applied in Cambodia.
The Cambodian delegation was later received by the chairwoman of the Ha Noi People's Council, Ngo Thi Doan Thanh, who said that Ha Noi and Phnom Penh had held regular exchanges in commerce, culture, education, healthcare, tourism and other fields.
However, Thanh said, the economic co-operation between the two capital cities had failed to match the level of the relationship.

Koh Tral Island must not be forgotten
By Ms. Rattana Keo
Why do Koh Tral Island, known in Vietnam as Phu Quoc, a sea and land area covering proximately over 30,000 km2 [Note: the actual land size of Koh Tral itself is 574 square kilometres (222 sq miles)] have been lost to Vietnam by whose treaty? Why don’t Cambodia government be transparent and explain to Cambodia army at front line and the whole nation about this? Why don't they include this into education system? Why?
Cambodian armies are fighting at front line for 4.6 km2 on the Thai border and what's about over 30,000km2 of Cambodia to Vietnam. Nobody dare to talk about it! Why? Cambodian armies you are decide the fate of your nation, Cambodian army as well as Cambodian people must rethink about this again and again. Is it fair?
Koh Tral Island, the sea and land area of over 30,000 square kilometres have been lost to Vietnam by the 1979 to 1985 treaties. The Cambodian army at front line as well as all Cambodian people must rethink again about these issues. Are Cambodian army fighting to protect the Cambodia Nation or protecting a very small group that own big lands, big properties or only protecting a small group but disguising as protecting the Khmer nation?
The Cambodian army at front lines suffer under rain, wind, bullets, bombs, lack of foods, lack of nutrition and their families have no health care assistance, no securities after they died but a very small group eat well, sleep well, sleep in first class hotel with air conditioning system with message from young girls, have first class medical care from oversea medical treatments, they are billionaires, millionaires who sell out the country to be rich and make the Cambodian people suffer everyday.
Who signed the treaty 1979-1985 that resulted in the loss over 30,000 km2 of Cambodia??? Why they are not being transparent and brave enough to inform all Cambodians and Cambodian army at front line about these issues? Why don't they include Koh Tral (Koh Tral size is bigger than the whole Phom Phen and bigger than Singapore [Note: Singapore's present land size is 704 km2 (271.8 sq mi)]) with heap of great natural resources, in the Cambodian education system?
Look at Hun Sen's families, relatives and friends- they are billionaires, millionaires. Where did they get the money from when we all just got out of war with empty hands [in 1979]? Hun Sen always say in his speeches that Cambodia had just risen up from the ashes of war, just got up from Year Zero with empty hands and how come they are billionaires, millionaires but 90% of innocent Cambodian people are so poor and struggling with their livelihood every day?
Smart Khmer girl Ms. Rattana Keo,

Mr Sam Rainsy, Why don't sue PM Hun Sen as you promise to us Cambodian people and your true supporters?
Are you tried to bargain with PM Hun Sen again like 2005 lawsuit at America??? Why?? Why??
We want to see Mr Sam Rainsy act as he said to sue PM Hun Sen in every democracy Countries court of justice around the world.
We want the results as transparency, from your progress in suing PM Hun Sen in every court of justices!!!
We are Cambodian people afraid that you are just using the lawsuit to scare PM Hun Sen than when PM Hun Sen gives you (Mr Sam Rainsy) green light. You again, hang your Lawsuit like 2005.
Mr Sam Rainsy, You must do as you said, otherwise you the same as Mr Kim Soka.
Mr Sam Rainsy, where are your law suit VS Hun SEn in America Court of justice? We want to see and hear the stories transparency because we afraid that you are just try to bargain with Hun Sen like 2005 again.
We Cambodian people as well as your supporters are waiting to see your real action in suing PM Hun Sen (In America Court of justice, all countries’ court of justice in Europe, Japan Court of justice, Australia Court of justice, New Zealand court of justice, Canada court of Justice, UN court of justice, World Human Right court of justice, NATO court of justice…) as you Mr Sam Rainsy said.
Mr Sam Rainsy must do as you said OK. Don’t you dare to bargain with PM Hun Sen like 2005 again?
May be you can’t be Prime Minister of Cambodia because of unfair election as 5-6 million Vietnamese votes for Hun Sen and Hun Sen add up his cheating skill in election but you can be a great Khmer Hero by suing PM Hun Sen about the facts that he has done to Cambodia and Cambodian people so far.
Can’t be Prime Miniter due unfair election all the times but Mr Sam Rainsy can gives a great stain to PM Hun Sen and CPP Vietnam slave about their crimes against Cambodian people since 1970 until today.
4:35 PM
later he will sue, step by step... កុំ
មាត់នៅឲ្យស្ងៀម កុំអន្ទះសារពេក ទុកឲ្យមេដោះ
ស្រាយ ទុកមាត់ស៊ីអាចម៏ទៅ។
Gooks and boat people will soon evaporated into thin clouds when our brother Chinese begin teaching these gooks lesson.
Khmer people Know there alot of Youn living in Tonle Sap and Tole Mekong river. Why dont Khmer people do anything about it?? Too Much talking............ Everybody think they know politic in here. Let stop the talking and let do the doing! maybe that will help Ours country Cambodia.
Cambodia and Cambodians want to be
an independent state, but not to be
a province of Vietnam like Champa,
and Khmer Krom.
Cambodia lost Low Cambodia to Yuon
in 1949;now Cambodia will be next
as a province of Vietnam.Why?
Recently,Khmer state has 6,000,000
Vietnamese immigrants amongst 14,000,000 Khmer citizens,20,000
Vietnamese troops in seven rubber
fields in seven provinces in Khmer
land;Vietnam products flow in Cambodia and has large companies and investors everywhere in Khmer
land;and they have contracts for
99 years.
So,later Cambodia will become a
province of Vietnam.
to khmer and the world, siem and youn are only good for their food, but not as friends, you know! i think these neighboring countries should join in food celebration, not share of cultural heritage like cambodia has the most, you know!
