A secret telephone conversation between Mr. Hun Sen and Mr. Kem Sokha on 25th July 2007 about the creation of the HRP

Thursday, June 02, 2011
Op-Ed by P. Ma

This is my humble opinion on that conversation aspect of that political joint venture, HUN-KEM.

Without any reservation, doubt or whatsoever, Mr. Kem Sokha did it in a way he believed in his gut that by destroying Sam Rainsy Party, his beloved country would be best served by both his political party and Hun Sen, a new alliance for the future. Since Sam Rainsy can not be bought, intimidated or what else, and by his rapid gain in seats and popularity it would be an end to Mr. Kem's long term dream of ever becoming a future prime minister or at least be a second leading man, a position he is now desperately trying to fight for. While the country was facing with so many pressing issues, democracy, human rights, land evictions, corruptions of the court system, influx of Vietnamese immigrants so on and so forth, that was not his priority, but to do as he told Hun Sen on the phone, to fight against what he perceived as a danger to Hun Sen's current policy or regime.

I am deeply amazed how decent, somewhat educated Khmers could not see further than their nose, prefer to watch the country and their people bleeding everyday under the current regime. I understood their compassion for the love of the country, but where is common sense? Accusing us as a divider when their leader, himself, starting out with such conviction and aspiration to ensure Hun Sen's victory so a new partnership can be formed, profits can be shared, play along to the tune of nationalists while doing their utmost to defend and protect the interests of Vietnam. The Khmer rouge were able to bring people to the slaughter house from France because of nationalism without question or reasoning. Look at where the country and our people are being lead into once again, by both, well trained communists, to do what? Destroying a well-educated, dedicated French-Khmer economist who refused to sell his conscience, gave up successful luxurious life style in Paris, but to be condemned by his own patriots who could not understood a need for the country to survive first, democratically or to have a real system of check-and-balance, and independent justice system that is not just. Mr. Kem Sokha said it himself that he did not believe in the court of the country. By all mean, he went out of his way to ensure that court system is where it is today. Priority of the country is all fucked up under this sickening mentality, short-sighted. There is a phrase,"Better to have one smart friend than a whole lots of dumb ones." I am sure he is intelligent enough to know what kind of mess the country was in, and the need to keep Hun Sen in check to improve people's life, defending their claims or interests as they were being threatened every day, villages and towns. He should be smart enough to understand there illegal influx of immigrants from the east subsidized and encouraged d in large part by both governments will eventually threaten the existence of Khmer, a colour of the skin he himself seem to share. I don't want to come across as a racist,no. I just wanted to have in place, in time to protect what constitute Cambodia, with Khmer remains the majority of its own land. We need to institute and implement immigration policy, education that will ensure Khmer learning, not Vietnamese, the same way Quebec has done so far. There are issues that we care, but, we prefer to waste our moment of opportunity to divide, and now turning around and pretend to be a uniter while insisting on ill-intended conditions hoping to gain at the expense of SRP, once again. God has eyes, you know.

I don't see how any decent nationalists could accept this kind of deception, deceiving to them. Sure, many will not even care reading line by line what the meaning of each phrase of the conversation while continue to follow blindly in Mr. Kem's leadership. But, there will be a big price to pay because Mr. Kem is right, people are enough intelligence to see how his process of party creation, his flip-flop character and decision has cost the country and the people of Cambodia up until now. The country lost one of the finest opportunities to have a balance of power, ensure justice, listening and effectively coming to the aid of the victims across the country as their land and villages are being gobbled up in day light. Yes, corruption law would have been better drafted before getting into law, better economic policies would probably have been better designed to serve the people of the entire country, not just the rich and the corrupted ones. All of those opportunity lost are due mainly to the patriotism of Mr. Kem in his joint collaboration with Mr. Hun Sen.

I think it would be a decent thing to do for Mr. Kem to resign from his position before respectable, decent loving people are either defecting or forcing him out. He should accept his short-sighteness and his colossal miscalculation of the master of divider, Hun Sen. It was then a mutual benefit of the two, but not anymore. Hun Sen has decided to bring him to the slaughter house. Old communist strategy and it has been an effective one up until now. If people really want SRP and HRP to merge, removing Mr. Kem Sokha as leadership now, will certainly make that a true possibility. Until then, we will never allow Mr. Kem to divide us from within as happened to other political parties in the past. He has lost all credibility to negotiate or even claimed to be a patriot, at least, not on my account.

Good luck to all of those who continue to follow that man. However, if you are looking for an opportunity to unite and win one for your country do take the opportunity to clean your house and that should begin from the top, starting with Mr. Kem Sokha. He had no intention of merging and all of those talking are more or less cosmetic. There are good people who really wanted to see the two parties merge, including SRP supporters, but Mr. Kem Sokha was the ultimate opponent to that possibility. The truth speaks for itself, and that conversation did played out exactly the way we saw it from the beginning of his party inception. Where is your priority? Your country or yourself? He chose his over the nation. Now come not a sweeten reward, but a final ax to his ultimate ambitious political career. I guess it's always time for us to get another job. Politics is suck and being a politician, I can't see it pay my bills. At least, not in my case. That's alright, I'll get by with my daily ration.

CPP current move:
-Distroyed Kem Sokha because of his under achievement to destroy SRP through HRP.

CPP next move:
-Install HRP defectors to SRP since it can't be done through HRP itself.

SRP must be very very careful on all HRP's defectors!!!

Today I want to tell all Khmers who love really own country, Kampuchea. During I was in Phnom Penh
our family had a good relation to the former transport minister between 1980-85. This minister who was Khmer
living in Hanoi since he was 6 Years old, his wife is Vietnam from Hanoi (high cader but a good Vietname).
Sometimes at the weekend when we had time my family parents invited for food in our house and sometimes we
was invited by him for lunch at his house. He had always tell uns about the destiny near by the future and he always
concerned the lose of the Khmer land today because he knew exactly what the Hanoi's policy wanted.
One day he was sick and sent to Hanoi, a day later die. As we knew this news we go to his house to give condolence
to his three children and his wife. Wehreas we came in on his house, she cried down loud and told us and the
other gests "He husband was injected by water" and she was not allowed to see husband, then she told us
Veitnam has always want to annex Cambodia like Champa and Kampuchea Krom that is the exact plan from
Ho Chi Minh. She know this bacuse she was Vietnam cader and she was teaching like this. So, it means no all
Vietnames are bad people, those love peace like Khmer too but the problem is the Khmers traitors who had never
been in Vietnam ??

Thank you for sharing your story, 2:33 AM
Vietnamese people are people. There are real good, decent, most are highly educated and successful who are not fans of communism. The communist government of Vietnam is implementing their own expansionism policy at our country's expenses. We can all understand that and we need to defend ourselves through our own peaceful means. But, with complicity of our own Khmer people that where it hurts us generation after generation? That is not comprehensible nor acceptable. We need good relationship with our neighbours, to live in peace and stability while ensuring or own very existence as Khmer people, through good defensive policies, immigration, education and economic security. We are human and Vietnamese people are the same. It's 21st century, hatred and racism is not something we should even think about. We can put in place a policy that will ensure their assimilation, appreciation and enjoy being a citizen of Cambodia. Their kids will have to go to Cambodian school to be Khmers, just like the Chinese, my grand parent who came to Cambodia way back for the reason I grow up to be who I am today, a Chinese-Khmer who happened to grow up being a Khmer only. Hatred and racism must not be encouraged or promoted to cause bloodshed or harm innocents life. I don't subscribe to Vietnam expansionism policy, but I have no issue with anyone, any race or any colour as human being, that include Vietnamese. I have friends and family members, extended family, who have been married to Vietnamese professionals. Just to set the record straight. Pretty Ma

Since 1979 Vietnam has exported about 10 millions Vietnamese illegal immigrants to different provinces of Cambodia, in and around Tonle Sab Lake Areas. Now Cambodians became a minority in their own land. This is the fact that nobody can deny and perhaps it will become an irreversible fact.

As Pretty Ma said

I also share her above view point. Since we, Cambodians, are powerless, do not have enough military power to fight with Vietnam and will not be able to send these illegal Vietnamese immigrants back to their home land. Whether we like it or not, they have stayed in our country over 30 years and will continue to do so indefinitely.

In my opinion (I speak for myself only), there are always some good and some bad Vietnamese: not all of them love Hanoi regime, the majority of Vietnamese living in the south hate the northern people. The people in the south love freedom and democracy, used to live a comfortable life without hardship or restrictions. Beside, the life in South Vietnam nowadays is very tough and expensive because of the overpopulation. This is reason why they want to settle down in Cambodia and try to stay far away from Hanoi if the circumstances permit or allow.

I hope that the second generation of these illegal immigrants will fully integrate with Cambodian people by going to Cambodian school, practicing Hinayana or Theravada Buddhism in Cambodian pagoda, following Cambodian custom and enjoying the rights and obligations as Cambodian citizens.

Khmer people should avoid going to any hospital in Vietnam as most are run by extreme scholars of Ho's doctrine.

They took all your money first and murder you off and there is nobody can help you, no god mate!

I'm 58 years old. Since I was much younger I was told about Khmer being sabotaged, tortured, and killed by Yuon.

In order to expand Yuon must kill whoever gets in their way. Yes, not all Yuon are bad, but their government has an absolute plan to take Cambodia. To check if Yuon loves Khmer, ask three questions:
1- why not yuon come right after April 17,1975 instead of waiting until January 7, 1979 to oust KR.
2- Yuon came to Cambodia after March 18, 1970- whom are Yuons trying to liberate Khmer from- there was no KR then.
3- why yuon take Kampuchea Krom to be their own.

Yuon never love Khmer, do not be fooled.

Khmer in Cambodia should tell each other, do not go to any hospital run by Yuon either in Vietnam or Cambodia.

If you are a Khmer patriot you will die in just one day in case you change your mind and return home.

If you are a Khmer patriot, they'll keep you for a little longer until you run out of money and that's it.

Stay, die at home and save your money for the funeral.

All we need to do is to destroy the root of Vietcong/Yuon in Cambodia that is a foundation of the stupid Hun Sen. All Khmer people need to tell the world communities and the UN about the Yuon/Vietcong communist leaders in Cambodia or Phnom Penh wh are behind the Hun Sen. Let the UN and International Communities, EU, USA and other powerful countries to put pressure on Vietcong/Yuon Communist leaders in Hanoi and put sanctions against Communist Vietnam or Communist Hanoi bastards and then Hun Sen will be weaken and people of Cambodia including Khmer Krom and Khmer Surin will take the stupid Hun Sen and his CPP members (top ranking officials) and his family down.

Hun Sen is a machine of Communist Hanoi just like a robot machine and he was operated by evil Hanoi Communist leaders.

Now, Khmer people can see what is like in Cambodia today as the crystal clear. The International Communities and the UN including USA, Canada, UK, China, and other countries will begin to look into what Vietnamese Communist leaders doing illegally and brutally in Cambodia in their secret plans to steal or over take everything from Cambodia to evil Communist Vietnam.

Don't worry, Khmer people. Vietnam will face the biggest problems in front of the International Communities, the UN, USA, China, UK, Brazil, Canada, Aussie, and other countries. Communist Vietnamese leaders and its supporters (some people of Vietnam) will confront the massive questions and they (Vietnamese/Yuon) will pay back what they took, multi-billions of dollars for more than three decades using Hun Sen as their puppet along Khmer Rouges (Yuon and Khmer Vietminh like Hor Nam Hong, Sok An, Sok Kong, Yeay Phu, etc). Wait and see in the near future.

It will be a laughable for the stupid country like evil Communist Vietnam whose evil Viet/Yuon leaders in Hanoi will be ashame and embarrassed in the world.

I have no faith and hope with any of the opposition leaders, not even Sam Rainsy. All of them lack of leadership and I mean all of them. Rainsy will always flee Cambodia for anything that he fells uncomfortable about and the sad part is that his supporters will not demand him to stop doing so. He needs to stay in cambodia and show some muscle.

A bathroom of modern-antique design

According to reliable furniture shop in Phnom Penh
construction materials information, upon taking up the project, the trio architect Jim Fraerman and interior designers Anne Kaplan and Bruce Goers decided to go for a classic-contemporary trend that suit with the rest of the house for the featured bathroom design
"One feature of this residence is the faithful expression of external architectural elements on the interior," spoke Fraerman. "The master bathroom benefits from this idea, flowing into a large bay window that is the central curved feature on the exterior at the rear of the house."
"I wanted this room to be welcoming and surprising – carrying curves into the interior design helped achieve this," stated Kaplan.
"The soft, rounded lines of the freestanding tub and the sofa, together with the oval sinks and the circular pattern on the floor tiles all contribute to the effect," Kaplan said.
"Working with so many disparate elements, we had to be careful choosing the colors," added Goers. "A departure point for the palette was the floor tiles – these are a combination of Carrara marble, mosaic glass and onyx."
