This week’s guest in Kuoch Kuntheara’s program is Mr. Sam Rainsy, President of the Sam Rainsy Party. On Monday 06 June 2011, PM Hun Xen warned that he will release secret documents related to Sam Rainsy. Today, Sam Rainsy indicated that he is not concerned with this warning and he did not receive any advice from Hun Xen nor did he want anything from Hun Xen. At the same time, Sam Rainsy also indicated that, starting from now, the SRP cannot unite with the HRP that sneaked to hold secret negotiations with the CPP.

The Phnom Penh Post
Ou Virak, president of the Cambodian Centre for Human Rights, said the comments [by Hun Xen] seemed to be a political ‘‘game’’ that would “not make [for] strong development of the nation”.
Prime Minister Hun Sen has warned the leader of the Sam Rainsy Party that documents relating to secret talks held between the premier and its leader after 2003 are in existence.
The disclosure, made at a graduation ceremony at the Royal School of Administration in Phnom Penh yesterday, follows a leak of a recording late last month of a 2007 discussion involving Human Rights Party. On the recording, its president Ken Sokha can be heard asking Hun Sen for assistance in securing use of the Olympic Stadium for a party conference.
The SRP, the Kingdom’s largest opposition party, seized on the recording as evidence of alleged collusion between the two parties and said that flagging negotiations on an SRP-HRP merger would be halted as a result.

Once again, Hun Xen revealed that there are many more documents linking him to Kem Sokha. At the same time, Hun Xen also announced that he has an old secret document linking to opposition leader Sam Rainsy as well.
Verbal disputes between party leaders always take place prior to the election in order to attract political support from the voters.
With the upcoming 2012 commune election fast approaching, Hun Xen, whose party won the largest number of votes, is starting to attack the opposition party once again. He accused the opposition party leader of contacting him in secret.
On 06 June, during a ceremony to distribute diplomas to students, Hun Xen warned two opposition parties – the HRP and the SRP – saying that leaders from both partied used to contact him on many occasions.
Hun Xen announced that he will have many more documents discussing about secret relations between him and Kem Sokha, HRP president. Hun Xen said that Keo Remy, the former vice-president of the HRP who defected to the CPP, was the one who arranged the meetings.
