I invite you to view the slide show, “Cambodia in Pictures,” a compilation of unattributed photos of the “Old Cambodia” of pre-1970 and of “Political Cambodia,” covering the period of the Vietnam War and subsequent years.
The photos speak for themselves. Commentary is embedded into only one photo, slide 36, an aerial photo of Khmer refugees fleeing in Kompong Thom in 1974. The pre-1970 photos should bring great memories to Cambodians of my generation and those older than I. They depict a country that has greatly changed in the intervening years. The photos of “Political Cambodia,” represent a brief history of the country – published photos taken from various sources.
I hope my younger compatriots will appreciate the opportunity to have a window into the country as it was when their parents were young.

Thank you very much for your great contribution in providing us the window opportunity, to see and observe the recent history and current situation of our beloved Cambodia.
All Cambodians have made their choices from that period, and helped shaping up what Cambodia and its people are going through.
The choices are ours, either we protect or destroy this beautiful land and innocent/powerless people.
Let us all be together to make a choice to reclaim this land and nation, and restore its dignity by being focus united and compromised our beliefs.

Thank your for giving us some scenes of what Cambodia was like back then. It gives me goose bums whenever I see our country the way it were before the destructions took place. What a refreshing sceneries.
I hope it will be much more developed than before. We can't take back what's been lost, but we can learned from it and don't make the same mistake.
Don't hold your breath. Rest assured, history will repeat itself. We certainly know where will take place, but we do not know when will it happen.

Khmer leaders never learned from their mistake. They're very good to learn how to destroy and kill their own people. They have a lot of experience to do the bad things not the good things. Since I was born in late 50, I never see Khmer making any progress. They always serve Youn and obey Youn. Youn are 100 times smarter than Khmer leaders. They think far away how to conquer Khmer land and our people.
Look at one photo who said Sihanouk is not Khmer traitor and communist. He wore Youn Vietcong military helmet. Sihanouk is real Khmer communist and always sided with Communist China, Youn, and North Korea. He never makes friend with the Western world. No wonder Khmer land is disappearing from the map little by little because of him and Hun Sen.

Once day, Cambodia will automatically convert to Nambodia province. Vietnamese is the first language officially and Khmer is become second language officially in Nambodia.
Cambodia in the next 20 will become Nambodia province because 1000 000 heta Vietnam take for 100 years. During this 100 years Vietnam bring their people into Cambodia as workers. Each worker takes their families with them to live in Cambodia. So In the next 20 years, Cambodia covers by 65% of Vietnamese and Pure Cambodian people only 35% in the population Total.
It is automatic become Nambodia province in the next 20 years.
Why doesn't Mr. Soy Sopheap talk about PhD, Dr. Hun Sen treaties from 1979 to 1986 that result in lost Cambodia lands, sea, islands over 30 000 km2 ?

The helmet/hat wear by the Viet were belong to Khmer which were wear only by the royal guards. The Viet stole the design and use it on its for its soliders.
The Khmer hate that helmet/hat, what they do not know is it was wear by the royal guards in the past old time and not well known among the Khmer people.
