PHNOM PENH — The Viet Nam Rubber Group (VRG) 's four subsidiaries yesterday kicked off a project to plant 100,000ha of rubber trees in Cambodia's Kratie Province under an agreement between the two countries.
The subsidiaries are the Dong Nai Kratie, Dong Phu Kratie, Phu Rieng Kratie and Loc Ninh Kratie companies.
Addressing the ceremony, Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister Yim Chhay Ly said foreign investors, including the VRG, had played a major role in Cambodia's socio-economic achievements in recent years.
The VRG has planted rubber trees in Cambodia since 2007. Its 11 subsidiary companies were allocated more than 95,000ha of land of which 26,000ha were already planted, according to Tran Ngoc Thuan, its general director.
It plans to plant 50,000ha of rubber trees in Cambodia this year. The entire project is set for completion by the end of next year, with a total investment of US$200 million.

i think cambodia should have a quota on viet/youn rubber business because khmer people have to rights to criticize youn investment in cambodia. it seems youn like to invest in rubber plantation which damage cambodia's natural environment and create land dispute in cambodia. cambodia should make law to limit the number of viet/youn rubber business, really! we should limit their investment only in rubber. investment in cambodia should be diverse, not mononpolizing like viet/youn thugs and siem thugs, always want to monoplize their businesses! not right, really! we have to question their motive, you know!
rubber plantation should be in khmer sound name, too, not all youn sound name, really! good that khmer people criticize and protest this! youn thugs can be so rude, most of the time, you know! that is unacceptable in cambodia, ok!

Each workers take their families with them to live in Cambodia. So In the next 20 years, Cambodia cover by 65% of Vietnamese and Pure Cambodian people only 35% in the population Total.

Once day, Cambodia will automatically convert to Nambodia province. Vietnamese is the first language officially and Khmer is become second language officially in Nambodia.

why don't youn do rubber plantation in their own country? why they want to do it in cambodia? what's wrong with their own country, one has to wonder, you know! viet/youn country is adjacent to cambodia, what camboda need them to do rubber business in cambodia, why not youn own country, really! khmer should tell youn to go back to vietnam or youn country, and no more youn planting rubber in cambodia because they cut down khmer trees to make way for rubber trees, etc. i don't think cambodia need that much rubber trees, you know! it's not like cambodia don't already have lots of rubber trees, you know! in fact we already have millions of rubber trees at old plantations like chhup, etc kompong cham province and kratie province, etc, etc... cambodia should refuse youn to plant more rubber trees, really! their too greedy and don't know when to stop, we should put a quota on them, really! cambodia is cambodia, not vietnam or youn country, ok! we know youn have their own country, so why don't they go plant their rubber trees in their own youn country, why over do it in cambodia! we say youn go home already, ok!
