Cambodia on Tuesday repatriated the remains of 11 Vietnamese volunteer soldiers who died during the war against the Khmer Rouge regime.
It was the last repatriation under an agreement signed between the Vietnamese and Cambodian governments to search for the remains of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and military experts between 2003 and 2011.
So far the remains of 240 soldiers have been found and sent back to Vietnam.
At the ceremony organized in Kongpong Chnang Province, Dr. Tut Marim, advisor to Cambodia Prime Minister Hun Sen, said his people would always be grateful for the sacrifices made by the Vietnamese government, soldiers and people in helping free the Cambodian people from the genocidal acts of Pol Pot (1925-1998).
Colonel Phan Van Thu, deputy chief of political affairs at the 9th Military Region of the Vietnam People’s Army, and other Vietnam officials also attended the ceremony.
It was estimated that under Pol Pot's leadership between 1975-1979, between 750,000-3 million people died from executions, forced labor, malnutrition and poor medical care, accounting for about 21 percent of the then Cambodian population.
Polpot also ordered an invasion of Vietnam in December 1978, which killed more than 3,000 Vietnamese civilians.

Why doesn't Hun Sen talk about the treaties from 1979-1985 that result over 30 000 km2 of Cambodia to Vietnam ? Why does Hun Sen only using 4.6 km2 as an excuse in order to redirect attention from Vietnam invasion and it is not just small invasion but over 30 000 km2 of cambodia.
In Hun Sen political career 4.6km2 is much begger than over 30 000km2. He gave over 30 000km2 of Cambodia to Vietnam with his two hands.

send packing back home in coffin, sounds like khmer people are not so fond of viet/youn excuses to exploit and control cambodia! viet/youn are actually stupid; i heard khmer history that in the 19th century, crazy, greedy youn thugs tried to force khmer people to change our culture, language, customs, etc viet/youn, but khmer people did not like that and resisted them. it showed viet/youn were so stupid and greedy and abusive because they want o steal khmer people land, etc. you don't come to cambodia and force native khmer people to adopt or assimilate into viet/youn language, customs, culture, etc, you know! khmer people prefer our own khmer culture, khmer tradition, khmer customs and ettiquittes, etc, khmer language, etc, etc, you know! no wonder khmer people hated and not trust or not wanted viet/youn in our country, history showed us viet/youn are criminals who wanted to force khmer people into adopting viet/youn ugly, noisy language, ugly viet/youn customs, etc, etc! don't forget khmer people was already an advance culture and customs and langauge, etc from angkor civilization; and we don't need ugly viet/youn customs, culture, noisy language, etc, ok! so next time viet/youn tried to force khmer people to adopt youn language, customs, etc..., khmer people will fight back to the end, really! hey, this is not the dark ages era, ok! so, go back to hanoi and other provinces of china where you came from ok, and return khmer koh tral island back to cambodia, ok!

We, Cambodia and Cambodians survive now thanks to those of Vietnamese troop who died. While we can get our from the KR and stand up again, many Vietnamese women lost their husbands, many Vietnamese parents lost their children... We should honor those who died for our survival.
that's fair, however, just don't abuse and steal from khmer again, though! you come in the name of humanitarian assistance is fine, but if you come and steal khmer lands, territories, islands, temples, and force khmer people to adopt youn language, etc, etc, then khmer people cannot appreciate or have gratitude toward you, ok! instead we would have to tell you to go back home in coffins, ok! that's all!
