Villagers rally against arrest

The Phnom Penh Post

Nearly 100 villagers from 114 families in Kandal province protested in front of the provincial court yesterday to request the release of a villager arrested in connection with a land dispute with a former deputy provincial governor.

Khorn Kea, 30, a representative of villagers from Samrong Thom commune’s Prek Treng village in Kien Svay district, said yesterday that Nhil Sami was arrested in Phnom Penh on May 19 and charged with destroying private property.

He added that protestors had asked the court to stop issuing summons and arrest warrants for villagers embroiled in a dispute with former deputy provincial governor Prak Savuth.

Villagers are living in fear every day after the arrest of Nhil Sami and heard that other villagers will be arrested in relation to the land dispute,” Khorn Kea said.

He added that villagers had been involved in a dispute with Prak Savuth, who is now Kratie provincial council chief, since he was awarded 46 hectares of land in Prek Treng village by the Appeal Court in 2001.

Men Maraka, provincial investigator for rights group Adhoc, claimed yesterday that provincial deputy prosecutor Vong Bunvisoth told villagers the court would not issue further arrest warrants, but that Nhil Sami could not be released.

Vong Bunvisoth could not be reached for comment. District governor Heng Thiem said yesterday that the land belonged to Prak Savuth, who also could not be reached for comment.

My Khmer Compatriots,

Peaceful demonstration means nothing to yuon and yuon's slaves.

You don't have other choice, but to organise an Armed Uprising right now to against these Hanoi's Puppet Hun Sen's families and it cronies.

All of you are in a loose-loose situation by Legal Means.
Freedom will never fall from the Sky. You have to fight to get that.
Hun Sen and Hanoi will continue to oppress you and confiscate your lands for their vietnamese bosses and their own interessts.

And how many Vietnamese illegal immigrants in Cambodia now ??? there are 6-7 million of them and over 100,000 in armed camoulfage.
The Hanoi's Vietnamisation is step by step and almost finished to their goal.

All of you will be Hanoi's slaves on your ancestors Lands very soon.
They cannot kill all of you in all Sroks and all Provinces, otherwise the whole world will step in to help liberate you from this mess of political CHAOS.

I called to Khmer compatriots to rise up with Axes, Swords, Sticks, Knives, Spears, Arrows, and possible grenades, B40-B41 hand Guns, shot guns to riot and kill THEM for your Freedom and liberate your country from the vietnamese yoke.

If you don't dare to die you won't survive.

The Call to Arms

The villagers will be well advised to instill the same fear into the authorities or their instruments.

They do not have to engage their opponents openly and en masse (this could be suicidal), but isolate them, identify their weakest points and hit them hardest before they have the chance to respond.

Unless there is a sea-change in the regime, don't expect too much from the Court and legal dialogue. The law and the courts too are mere instruments of the authorities and means in the villagers' oppression.

The peasants had in the past been exploited and used by communist movements as their tools for overthrowing established, autocratic regimes. It could be said they are still being exploited by the present regime whose leaders have little in common with them, except their long forgotten roots in the muddy rice fields. Ah, how men eventually become what they once condemned and disdained!

How is it that the very people who once decried injustice and official decay or corruption have turned against their own words and pledges? But, what is harder to comprehend is their total transformation from their humble peasant backgrounds into tyrannical masters whose clubs and social ranks they had once been barred from joining?

In isolation the villagers or farmers maybe weak and vulnerable, but in solidarity and collective unity they are or will be impossible to resist since they form the vast majority of the population.

Resist injustice whilst you still have strength in your body. The longer you delay your action the more paralysed you will be, and the easier for the authorities to dispose of you or keep you down.

No body else is in a better position to unchain your bondage, but you.

Overthrow your oppressors to save your land and your nation from oblivion. If your heart is good and sincere, no one could keep you down. If one of you shall fall, a hundred, a thousand more of you shall follow your path.

There are many ways to affect the world, of which some are more appropriate or expedient than others. But, the worst thing that a human being can do is remain dormant and silent in the face of their fellow men's suffering.

One thing that I can say is learn from our beloved brothers and sisters in Kompong Speu. Dog can't understand human language, Dog will know once it get kick.

Tell those dogs that " enough is enough"

Don't beg for help from the blind justic. Stand up for our right.

If we are united together, those dog will run away.

Land grabbers are everywhere in
Cambodia,but Khmer citizen victims
can't communicate to have a huge
protest against Hun Sen land
grabbers.They lacked of the repre-
sentatives to carry messages or
to lead them.
The Khmer abroad also lost of
connection between themselves
to help them out to protest.
Both,Khmer abroad and in Cambodia
can't help them to pop off.
