CEDAC Press Release: How to uproot and transplant for higher rice yields

Dear All,

In its second step of SRI Promotion Campaign in this 2011 rainy season, CEDAC is encouraging farmers to apply some simple farming practices/ideas to improve rice productivities. The practices included:-uprooting the seedling carefully and transplanting immediately after uprooting
  • transplanting only good seedlings
  • transplanting younger seedlings (less than 18 days is better)
  • transplant the seedlings shallow-rooted
  • transplanting only one or two good seedlings per planting hill
  • transplanting with equal distance between seedlings

For more details, please find the attached Press Release in Khmer.

Thanks and kind regards,

Him Khortieth
