The national community or the US or other big-shot countries don't give a damn if the people of Cambodia are suffering, as long as the country does not descend into another killing fields. Moreover, while Cambodians were massacred, did the US or the UN give a damn? And why all of sudden these countries are descending upon Cambodia like wild animals?
I say screw the international community and the US.
While condemning these countries, I welcome China to invest heavily in Cambodia, since this is geopolitically the tragically important location -- in case the Chinese decide to utilize the location as a launch pad against its foe (s).

notice how the cops pull away the leader of the protest and took her away and leave all the others wondering what to do next?

what is wrong with Hun Sen? isn't he a leader who is supposed to create jobs and laws to protect everyone in his country? if he can't do his job well, why not let someone else do the job? like Madame Mu who is qualified enough to do the job. She knows all about morality, right and just. Now that Thai has a female PM, so let it be to Khmer also.
Lets get some changes for our future generations, in the most appropriate way, by votes not by force. Hun Sen, you need to understand about fair and just. You can not continue abusing your positon or power because if you keep doing this, people will resist to your governant.So, you have to act and change the way you run your gov't now before it is too late, or else you will be another sadam hunsen or gadafi etc... not worth it.

អំពើរដែលពួកវាបានធ្វើមកលើពលរដ្ឋខ្មែរស្លូតត្រង់នេះគឺបានរំលោភលើសិទ្ធិមនុស្សពិតព្រាកដ។ ដូច្នេះយើងជាខ្មែរនៅក្រៅស្រុកត្រូវតែនាំគ្នាប្តឹងទៅតុលាការវិច្ឆេតកម្មអន្តរជាតិ ដើម្បីឱយពួកគេជួយរកសិទ្ធសេរីភាពជូនពលរដ្ឋយើងផង ព្រោះរដ្ឋាភិបាលអាយ៉ងភ្នំពេញពុំបានជួយដោះស្រាយពួកគាត់សោះ។ យើងទាំងអស់គ្នាត្រូវតែថ្កោលទោសអា ហ៊ុន សែន កញ្ជៈយួនដែលបានអនុញ្ញាត្តឱយពួកកងអាវុធហាត់មកវាយធ្វើបានពលរដ្ឋខ្លួនឯងយ៉ាងនេះ។
People who live in Phnom Penh, including those who work for the government should at least in a peaceful manner begin to write a petition to the government showing their support for the Boeung Kak lake residents. This is one way to help put pressure on the heartless government to resolve this problem in a fair and nonviolent manner.
Unity is really a scare commodity in Cambodia. People tend to ignore other people's plight when it does not affect them directily.
An NGO in Phnom Penh should start a petition and asks the city people for their support signatures to send to the government. Obviously there will always be brave people who won't mind signing the petition.
