When I arrived in Aust in the earlier 1980s, I missed Cambodia so much. I borrowed this tape from a friend and replayed it many times, along with Kampong Thom Chumrm Chet, and it did help to alleviate my nostalgia of Cambodia. Through them, I could imagaine and see the country I left behind.
i too like khmer lakhon niyeay. i like to listen to them because they speak in professional, fluent, true khmer accent and sounds. i would recommend all students of khmer language and literature to listen to all khmer lakhon niyeay, etc. i used to listen to the other khmer lakhon niyeay called "kolap pailin", "p'ka sropoan", "kompong thom jomroam chet", "preah vehsandor", and so on; the list goes on and on! anyway, what i really liked about all of them were the good sounds of khmer language, like you hear in the american classical movies from the 1930s, 1940s, especially! in fact as a kid, i started to learn the khmer language a lot from listening to these lakhon niyeay and classical khmer songs from the 1960s and early 1970s, etc... plus, i practice reading and writing in khmer language since i was a kid. i like the khmer language a lot, especially the one spoken in cambodia.
This is a very good story to listen how gentle and being patience he is.
