This Cambodian girl is very beautiful like a 14 years old in that film.
This movie really reflect Khmer society. The lack of compassion and the rich take advantage of the poor! This kind of mentality and behavior event exist until now. Actually event worst than in this movie!
I think the written of Khmer sociological culture (title?) by Dr. Peang-Meth posted a few days a goes really sum up of Khmer mentality. Khmer have to break the mentality of use/abuse/ betray/only I know everything, etc turn to adapt. the culture of humility, forgiveness, compassion, and building trust among each others in order to save Cambodia from swollow by the neigboring countries!
some people went they watch this movie, they are only able to see the beauty of the woman, but they are not able to see beyon this pictures, they are not able to see the whole pictures of what is this movie is all about...sorry guys, better use your upper head rather than your lower head ... there might be a possibility that you can see something more!
I hope this movie would teaching you something rather than just a pure entertainment!
BTW, I think this movie was making during the Khmer Republic regime or during the Sihanouk regime? Anyway, either one -- it really show the bad culture of Khmer society!!
this is a hirotical treasure. There is clip about Pin playing, which actually died out some 400 years ago. We wtill have PINPEAT, but there is not PIn in the Peat, no more. Sadly.

Khmer was once a great country in 1900 thru 1960 and society, until the communism started expanding. No one as a leader in Cambodia or Khmer government step up and do what is RIGHT for the country. All I see is theft businessman trying to sell and take adavantage of the country. abuse power! Khmer need a civil war. To clean out the country. I felt like ours government only have controlled half of the country..the rest are afraid of the KR.
Cambodian movies and cinema would have been so much better today if Cambodia competed in Miss.Universe so the world could see our beautiful culture!!

look at Cambodia musics, comedy and movies today are present that Khmer down in Cultures so badly. Cambodian comedys today are so rude and very cheap. Shame on all these fuck actors and actresses uneducated. They are make Khmer cultures go down below standard societies.
The old movies like this one, it is very good in represent Good Khmer Cultures and communities.
The khmer comdedys today are only know how to cures bad words to each other and adopt Vietnam style. These comdedians are very cheap and make khmer cultures look very badly.
Cambodian actors, actresses, comedians, singers today make Cambodia lost true cultures, identities and khmer true color. They are so rude and cheap.

It is very sad and dangerous that you don't know your real own history.
There has never been great since after Jayavaraman VII. Many nationalist Kings tried but they failed because Khmer Kingdom was already silently invaded by her neighbor, Annamese. The big blame go to Jayavaraman VII for failing to build a strong national defense for the future generation.
He was great for buiding the empire but he was a fool for not seeing the future danger. The Annamese already killed the hearts/souls of Khmers since Miss Ngoc Van became a wife of Jeyyajetta II, and she was a main body of the destruction of Kampuchea. The blame cannot go to Jeyajetta II either, his father King Srei Soryabon and jeyajetta II himself thought that by taking Annamese princess as his wife for a political reasons would prevent Siam from keep invading Kampuchea. At that time Siam determined to take Kampuchea and Khmers faced many wars with Siam. The history repeats itself such as is this present day.
A few nationalist Kings such as Ramathipadi 1st (Chov Ponhea Khan) and Preah Ang Doung). Sihanouk walked on the same path of Jeyajetta II and he is now condemned. By the way Sihanouk is not my favorite person, but none of us can fight our fate that already made for us from above.
Remember NO BODY cares for anyone but themselves. To think that the US or China or Vietnam care for Cambodia is a big mistake.
Hun Sen is one of the bad history, too, because this stupid leader Hun Sen married his Yuon wife Bun Ranny (who used Khmer name). What is the world Khmer people are living in now?

Two kinds of leaderships in Khmer:
Nationality leadership and religion leadership.
If the country and religion leaders
are good,its citizens are wonderful.
Cambodia was/is mixed cultures and
beliefs as same as other countries
in the world.
Khmer empire people believed in
Brahma(many gods Shiva...),later
Mahayana Buddhism(king Jayavarman VII),then Hinayana=Theravada Buddhism.
The king Jayavarman VII let his
citizens believe any beliefs.
His two wives(one was dead he married another one,both were sisters) were well educated women
in the empire.
The state and religion leaders
could change citizen minds little
by little.
If both leaders want to change as
quick as possible,they will get
revolved against them.
The revolutionists can change
anythings they want,but they need
bravery and sacrifice their lives to change cultures or leadership.
To avoid other people to expose more about Pang Sokhoeun's affair, he has agreed with my suggestion not allow other people outside to comment like before. From now, only friends in his list can comment in his wall.

One of KI-Media member who has his name in Facebook as Khmer Sovannaphumi but his real name is Pang Sokheoun, former political asylum and now living in Sweden. He always copies news from here to post in his facebook profile to promote himself, but right now, he tries to removed and blocked anyone who dares to reveal his con activity particular he tries to hide what he has cheated his wife (Sreypov Chea) by having a girlfriend (Sokunthear Som) behind his wife back. Now, his girlfriend had ran way from him after she knew his cheating.
A con man Pang Sokhoeun as well as KI-Media like to insult to the government officers who have affairs, but himself does even worse than other people. What a shame!
