Sam has been re-elected as president of his eponymous party, despite the fact that he will not be able to contest the next election in Cambodia as he remains in self-imposed exile.
Speaking from Austria by video to about 5,000 party members at the former SRP headquarters yesterday, he thanked them for re-electing him and vowed to loyally serve the party’s 500,000 members until the day he dies.
“I will serve my people, I will serve my country to the end of my life. You love me and support me, but I know that you do not love Sam Rainsy the individual but love Sam Rainsy’s ideals,” he said.
Sam Rainsy said that if the SRP won the 2013 election and he became prime minister he would remove all land concession and return people’s property, much of which had been leased to foreign private companies by the government.
CPP lawmaker Chheang Von said Sam Rainsy’s promise to remove all land concession was impossible. The SRP also elected Kong Korm as deputy president, Hong Sok Hour as general financier, Ho Vann as accounting commissioner and Ke Sovannroth as secretary general.

sam rainsy is so stupid! always run away and hide overseas! can can khmer people trust him! next time, he'll run away again and again! people must be educated to think for themselves, really!
srp people has a lot of fantasy and dream, nothing concrete about them, really! maybe they are good activists only, not politics because, nobody like them and nobody will vote for them for running away all the time. people don't trust this group, really! they are unstable and fragile and can run away again any time they want. khmer people in cambodia want a stable leader(s), not the kind that always run away and seek asylum overseas all the time, you know, that's the difference! of course, cambodia changed a lot since, what do you expect, a primitive society? well, cambodia moved beyond that concept already, so stop dreaming, ok!

Hey all no brainers, Why don't you try to understand the dirty trick from CPP and VN? If Samrainsy let the CPP capture him and put in jail, they might give poisonous injection and kill him later or weakening him and it's not easy to find a smart and brave to criticize facing the VN and its CPP. Look at the rest of the politicians belong to other parties, they do not dare to do any thing to make the CPP or VN pist off but instead they just go with the flow and eventually will get trap and die. If I were Samrainsy, I would do the same way if I stll have option by escaping from Cambodia and try to resolve problems from abroad because if they lock him up in jail, it's all over, no more chance to fight back with the criminal Hun Sen.

CPP
Tell Cambodian people, why many CPP elites/top brass have sophoned millions of dollars into various overseas banks accounts in Australia, Singapore, Thailand, switzenl, Canada,and France. I'm not sure they got into Bank of America or JPChase Morgan yet but it is the matter of time. It really surprised that they decided not to put deposit in Vietnamese banks uh!!! It shows that they have plan to move when Hun Sen is dead or incapacitated.
The point is nobody is going to stay in Cambodia when the time is come. SRP/CPP or else will do the same

A question to a few posters here with a shrimp's brain size, ie the very first poster. If you walk on a street and encounter a gang of thugs, would fight the thugs or run away from the thugs? Have some thought with some intelligent reasons before you write you respond be a reasonable person. When it comes to politics in Cambodia there is NO equal playing field. I can see and understand why some people here use bad words towards the anti-srp clique.
12:29, I am agreeing with you. SRP scares and he always run but CPP is event scarier. You may say that I am crazy why I say cpp is afraid of SRP but if you look around you will see that I say is right.
1- cpp will never allow SRP to have their own radio station they afraid that people will know the true color of cpp.
2- cpp will find way to take SRP party sign down because CPP is afraid of the candle light
These are just a few examples to show you how scare cpp is.

One of KI-Media member who has his name in Facebook as Khmer Sovannaphumi but his real name is Pang Sokhoeun, former political asylum and now living in Sweden. He always copies news from here to post in his facebook profile to promote himself, but right now, he tries to remove and blocked anyone who dares to reveal his con activity particular he tries to hide what he has cheated his wife (Sreypov Chea) by having a girlfriend (Sokunthear Sam) behind his wife back. Now, his girlfriend had run way from him after she knew his cheating.
A con man Pang Sokhoeun as well as KI-Media like to insult to the government officers who have affairs, but himself does even worse than other people. What a shame!
When one person had posted in KI-Media and accused that a con man Pang Sokhoeun is a brother of Som Ek (former Chief of Tiger's head sign guerilla, who was arrested and put in prison by Cambodian government) during that time, a cheater Pang Sokhoeun came to deny in his blogs immediately and had pointed the blame to Mr. Sourn Serey Rotha, but this time, he has bury his head in the sand because he cannot deny the truth that he has cheated his wife. Right now, all he can do is removed and blocked anyone who dared to reveal his cheating.

One of Hun Sen's daughter who divorced from her ex? now secretly married a White guy in the US. She has money can burn her. Hun Sen's niece married in Texas has two children. More and more Hun Sen's relatives keep money in the US, Europe and Australia' banks. Yes why not in Vietnam?
