Le juge d’instruction du tribunal, l’Allemand Siegfried Blunk, chargé du procès des Khmers rouges, a démissionné en dénonçant ce qui "sera perçu comme des tentatives d’ingérences de responsables du gouvernement" dans deux dossiers controversés dans lesquels aucune inculpation n’a été prononcée.
Le tribunal de Phnom Penh est une instance mi cambodgienne, mi internationale et la cible de nombreuses critiques.

Siegfried Blunk, the Co-Investigating Judge at the Khmer Rouge Tribunal, resigned by blaming what "will be perceived as attempted interference by government officials" in two controversial cases in which no charges has been announced yet.
The Phnom Penh tribunal is a hybrid court and it is the target of numerous criticisms.
