some people think january 7th is invasion while others think it's a turning point in cambodian history from one era to another one. whatever people's perception of it, why can't we all agree to disagree and leave it at that, really! if i were you, i wouldn't waste by breath arguing until the cow comes home, you know.
why don't they do a survey to see what most people think about january 7th instead of arguing nonstop about someone's opinion, really! if 3/4 of the people of cambodia say it is a turning point in history, then it is, be it; however if 3/4 say it's a foreign invasion, then it is as well, be it. why can't they vote about it to make it important date or not, why some leader has to force it down someone's throat about it? this is why some people have problem with it because some leader forced it down their throat. just put it on the ballet box and vote on it and forever hold your peace, ok! triage it and either give it a priority treatment or shove it aside! ever heard of prioritizing things? look up prioritize if you don't understand what it means, ok! that's what dictionaries are for, really! use it wisely for your vocabularies learning, ok!
maybe it has nothing to do with the concept itself, just someone tried to legitimize this date as heroic while a sector of society thinks its foreign invasion date. but if we realize analyze this date, then we can see its significance as a turing point in cambodia's long history as a nation. anyway, either way, it can't be ignore as nothing date, it as to go in the history book as one of the turning point dates in our long history as a nation.
at least it is now known as controversial date because of two different national opinions about it, i think. make a note of it as so is good enough for the history book, i think. this way, nobody can legitimize it and always be knows as very controversial topic or issue.
People spend time to talk about January 7 because it has put Vietnam in full control of Cambodia.
Those 3 monkeys - Hun Sen, Chea Sim, and Heng Samrin - have been impeccably obeyed all Vietnam's orders and will continue to do so until Cambodia becomes part of Vietnam.

stop trying to brainwash people, allow them to have choices and free will to think for themselves, ok!
it's one of those questions: to be or not to be?
