Nuon Chea Refuses To Look at Copies of Evidence

In this photo released by the Extraordinary Chambers in the Courts of Cambodia, Nuon Chea, center, who was Pol Pot's No. 2 and the group's chief ideologist, sits during the second trial of the top leaders of Khmer Rouge in the court hall of the U.N.-backed war crimes tribunal, on the outskirts of Phnom Penh, Cambodia, AP file photo.

“I can’t accept these copied documents.”
In a trial of three Khmer Rouge leaders Tuesday, “Brother No. 2” Nuon Chea refused to acknowledge copies of a magazine presented as evidence by the prosecution, pounding the banister in which he was sitting and demanding “the original copies.”

His courtroom actions highlight the low level of cooperation all three defendants have given the court as it moves forward in a landmark case that is only the court’s second and could be its last.

“I can’t accept these copied documents,” said Nuon Chea, who is 85, when presented copies of Revolutionary Magazine, which had been produced to support the overthrown of the Lon Nol regime.

Nuon Chea is facing atrocity crimes charges, including genocide, alongside former head of state Khieu Samphan and former foreign minster Ieng Sary.

Lao Monghay called Nuon Chea’s courtroom behavior “a strategy of the accused to prolong and to trouble” the prosecution.

Nuon Chea’s portion of the hearing lasted just a half a day Tuesday. Ieng Sary has said he will not address the court.

Two civil party representatives, former Khmer Rouge cadre Roman Yun and Klan Fit, testified against Nuon Chea and Ieng Sary, though they knew less about the revolutionary activities of Khieu Samphan.

The international communities should understand Vietnam's true intention of trying to mold Cambodia into a part of Vietnam.

To make this idea materialize, Vietnam must create trouble in Cambodia so that it could take advantage of the situation.

For instance, Vietnam created Khmer Vietminh and brainwashed them to kill Khmers during the Pol Pot's era.

Just curious:

Does international law allow one country to kidnap the children of its neighbors and brainwash them and later use them to attack their own Country and commit the mass killing of their own people?

Vietnam did exactly like that to Cambodia. That's why approximately 3 million Cambodians have perished from 1975 to 1979 because of Vietnam's bad intention toward Cambodia.

In addition, hundred of thousands of Khmer people dies in the 80s due to Vietnam’s deployment of the K5 project.

If the killings during the Pol Pot era’s were not clear that mostly were committed by the Khmer Vietminh, the K5 project on the other hand explicitly reflected Vietnam’s vicious intention toward Cambodia because Cambodia at the time was fully controlled by Vietnam, which was the chief architect of the K5 project.

The United Nations should look into this unique case of Vietnam’s interference in Cambodia. It should also examine at present Vietnam’s dominance in Cambodia too.

During my young life, I have heard my people lamented that why Khmer people always suffer?
Because Vietnam has its own plan of making Cambodian people suffer and exploit it. Vietnam has always found some dumb Khmers such as Hun Sen to carry out strictly its orders – no matter what the costs to Khmer people and Cambodia.
For instance, why did Hun Sen implement those bilateral treaties and defied the 1991 Paris peace accord?

I agree with Nuon Chea saying that the Communist Party of Kampuchea was under the influence of yuon Hanoi base on the profile and events happening since the creation of the Communist Party of Kampuchea or CPK in 1960 as follow:

CPK or the Communist Party of Kampuchea was created in 1960 under the name of the Workers' Party of Kampuchea to be remained alliance with Hanoi but not under order of Hanoi anymore by :

1. Tou Samouth.

2. Noun Chea.

3. Pol Pot.

4. Ieng Sary.

5. So Phim .

6. And many more of former senior Khmer Viet Minh commander.

Note: Tou Samouth and So Phim played very immportant role in joining former Khmer Viet Minh fighters int the CPK and other played an immportant rol in joining Tamouk and Ke Pok ect.... .

The worker's party was renaming to CPK in 1966 after Tou Samouth was arrested and killed in 1962.

So from the beginning most members and the members of central committee of CPK were former Khmer Viet Minh like Tou Samouth, So Phim , Rhos Nhim.

So Phim and Rhos Nhim were in law between 1975-1976.

Have your race invented anything besides stealing other people’s properties?

So, in your air head, you think stealing and committing bad deeds are smart.

Is it true asshole?

Khiev Samphan translated the Marxist doctrines that the capitalist environment generated an evil character; that the cities are the headquarters of capitalism; that the bourgeoisie must be liquidated and the residual people removed from the capitalist environment of the cities; that physical labor is regenerative.
Translating these doctrines into deeds, they ordered the evacuation of the cities of Cambodia. Everyone had to go. No one was exempt for humanitarian reasons. The people were animals and could be treated like animals. Three million people who were crowded into Phnom Penh, were ordered to leave the city in one day. Everyone had to leave just as they were. Children in schools were not permitted to go home and join their parents but were driven out of the city like cattle. Hospitals were emptied of doctors, nurses, and patients.
The number of dead did not trouble the Communist leaders, and Ieng Sary, their foreign minister, said: "As long as we have one million left, that will be enough to make the new man."
Who create and give the idea to kill?
Who push and enforce the idea to kill?
Who give the order and bring to kill?
