"Under Khmer Rouge leadership, individuals had to respect the collective, and private citizens had to respect the “Angkar,” or Organization."
Prosecution at the UN-backed tribunal on Monday sought to demonstrate the Khmer Rouge had a clear administrative structure in place even before they came into power, diminishing defense arguments that leaders on trial had no knowledge of atrocities as they took place.
Three top leaders—Nuon Chea, Khieu Samphan and Ieng Sary—are facing charges that include genocide for their leadership of the Khmer Rouge, in the court’s second case to date.
Unlike its first trial, in which torture chief Duch admitted responsibility and asked for the forgiveness of the family members of victims, the three leaders currently before the court have consistently denied they knew of the atrocities.
French deputy prosecutor Vicnent de Wilde D’Estmael presented a Pol Pot speech prior to the Khmer Rouge rise to power to demonstrate the party had a hierarchical structure with lower echelons and higher levels of leadership.
Under Khmer Rouge leadership, individuals had to respect the collective, and private citizens had to respect the “Angkar,” or Organization, he said.
Cambodian deputy prosecutor Veng Huot said Khieu Samphan had attained the movement’s highest rank, head of state, through two decades of resistance.
“He knew broadly the situation before being in power,” Veng Huot said. “He knew of acts in liberate zones and of the atrocities.”

under the stupid KR regime, there was no justice system at all. ask these stupid KR leaders who were their justice minister, etc. none! it was all jungle law! there were only death from diseases, starvation, overworked, sickness, even execution, abuse, etc... there was no state of the art hospitals, modern clinic, school ofr children, university or higher learning, none. it showed the stupid KR was brutal and destructive to cambodia and khmer people, you know! of course, there were made entire of ignorant people. it's good that their regime failed on january 7th 1979, or more people would have been dead from that dirt, poor regime with nothing! it was like living in the stone age again at that time. i mean, cave living with nature is your only source of subsistence, and roots and barks, your only medicines, etc... why the stupid KR resort to such harsh and backward society is beyond most people's imagination, really! the question is, why did their stupid KR regime choose that type of environment for cambodia, why not modernized and create smart, healthy people for your country, instead! you see, it was all human abuse and destruction of cambodia by these stupid KR, ignorant people! i say put them all in jail to rotten!
they had clear structure, but no skill or experience or smartness to do it, thus it failed miserable to to point of no return as in destruction of cambodia. it backfired on their hardcore policy, you know. and it didn't help when they start killing educated people, intelligent people, talented people, genocide of humanity, etc..., you know! what they say about that?
The Khmer Rouge Organization (Angkar-leu អង្គការលើ) baptized (Duch) instead of real names (Kaing Kek Ev) is not the revolutionary name as is commonly believed but rather to hide the truth.
The Khmer Rouge Organization (Angkar-leuអង្គការលើ) amplified, and broadcast advertising, the false name (Duch) as the scapegoat to launder their crime against humanity.
The false name (Duch) is copied and repeated Non- Stop by the global media to continue deceive the world and also to attack and dishonor real name famous (Duch) such that (Duch Sidim; Duch Kimhak; Sok Duch) and (Duch Som) grandfather's Ms.Theary Seng etc.
