Lawyers for Brother No 2 Nuon Chea have lodged an application with the Khmer Rouge tribunal Trial Chamber, asking it to take immediate action against Prime Minister Hun Sen to prevent him causing “further damage” to Case 002.
The “Application for Summary Action against Hun Sen” was filed yesterday in response to Vietnamese media reports that the premier had referred to Nuon Chea as “deceitful” and a “perpetrator of genocide”.
“In order to prevent further damage [to Case 002] . . . a public condemnation of Hun Sen’s remarks and a public warning that further comments will be met by even more stringent action” is needed, the application says.
“Unless such action is taken by this Chamber, the Prime Minister will have, once again, exposed the ECCC as the cowed institution that it is.”
Defence counsel Michiel Pestman told the Post it was presumed that any comments made by the premier amounted to political pressure for Cambodian judges because of his power hold on the Kingdom.
“The international judges of the Trial Chamber have so far completely failed to take any principled decisions – there have been no dissents in the Trial Chamber, and they are avoiding their responsibility to this case,” Pestman said.
“We want to say that things are changing; we are not going to be bullied into submission,” he added.
Nuon Chea’s defence team has filed multiple motions at the tribunal and in local Cambodian courts seeking a remedy to alleged political interference in Case 002 by high-ranking government officials.
As yet, these motions have been unsuccessful.

If Hun Sen called or accussed Nuon Chea as "deceitful and peretrator of genocide" may be the ECCC should summon Mr know it all former Killer himself My PHD Hun Sen to the KR court to explain himself to the Cambodian public. He must be part of the KR top management to know if Nuon Chea is telling the truth. For example if you were in the same team you would know what each member does or capable off.
So please please bring Hun Sen to KR court to share the infomation, he should do so if he claimed that he is innocent. But if he is NOT innocent he will do everything to stay out of the KR court.

Thank you for your tough fights to save Khmer people and Nation. Yes, we believe Mr. Nuon Chea who is very honest and admitted that he had made the mistake. He told the truth and tried to help the next Khmer generation and young Khmer people to understand how the Killing Fields started and how Vietnamese leaders exploited among Khmer leaders and society. It is the real history that Mr. Nuon Chea shared with our Khmer people and helped us learn deeply to understand that the Yuon/Vietnamese aggression and ill-intention toward to Cambodia/Khmer Kingdom by playing their Vietnamese big roles to trick and deceive the Khmer leaders, divide Khmer people and leaders, especially, manipulating and interviewing poor and street Khmer kids on the streets or remote areas in their Vietnamese (Yuon) exploitation in Khmer Kingdom.
The International Communities and UN need to take serious attention to the facts and truth about the Vietnamese long time ill-intentions and aggressions toward Khmer Kingdom/Cambodia before, during and after the Killing Fields. Vietnamese leaders and their Vietnamese bloody agents were/are the real killers starting from late 1800s and 1930s of Indochina (as future Vietnam country). Vietnamese leaders are still playing to be a snake, crocodile or even a tiger in Khmer Kingdom/Cambodia.
We are looking forward to the hearing of ECCC and listen to the proof and facts from Mr. Noun Chea and beyond the Killing Fields. Mr. Noun Chea is a very educated gentleman and an intellectual individual who is very good the history, not like Hun Sen, Heng Samrin, Chea Sim and other corrupted CPP officials who are very lazy and not well educated.
