“I reported to him about the confessions, and he instructed and advised.”
Convicted Khmer Rouge torture chief Duch told the UN-backed Khmer Rouge tribunal on Tuesday that he met with Nuon Chea frequently to update him on “confessions” and other operations at his prison.

Nuon Chea is on trial for atrocity crimes alongside two other Khmer Rouge leaders, Khieu Samphan and Nuon Chea.

Prosecutors have sought to shed light on the administration of the secretive regime and to bind Nuon Chea, Khieu Samphan and Ieng Sary in joint criminal activity for atrocities committed by Khmer Rouge cadre under their leadership.

As the head of Tuol Sleng prison, Duch oversaw the torture and execution of more than 12,000 people, most of whom were accused as enemies of the Khmer Rouge movement.

The tribunal has sentenced him to life in prison for his crimes, and he has become a key witness in his descriptions of the Khmer Rouge leadership.

Much of his testimony has been focused on the role of Nuon Chea, the regime’s No. 2 ideologue after Pol Pot, who died in April 1998 without ever seeing trial.

In his fifth day of testimony before the court, Duch said he reported to Nuon Chea “every three to five days” in meetings that lasted around 10 minutes.

“I reported to him about the confessions, and he instructed and advised,” Duch told the court. “All the power was concentrated in the hands of the secretariat of the communist party—Pot Pot and Nuon Chea. When Pol Pot was absent, Nuon Chea replaced him, and when Pol Pot issued an order, Nuon Chea followed up on how it was applied.”

Crazy and idiotic leaders who got power after the war, but abused it so badly on their own people. The most stupid leaders on earth and in the history of this world.

They were so afraid of and were so paranoid about Vietnamese agents that they ended up killing their own people, close and trusted friends, security guards, loyal KR soldiers and innocent people by torturing them to say exactly what they wanted to hear: "Yes, I am a Vietnamese agent, yes indeed!... Vietnamese all the way to my bone!"

These idiots ran Cambodia by closing the doors to all other countries, NGOs and other important organizations, except a few countries that did not give a damn about cambodia and its problems with Vietnam!

If you are so scared of your enemy, in this case the Vietnamese, you confront them openly by letting other countries know what you are facing with, work with others who sympathize with you by establishing diplomatic relations with as many countries as possible, build trust among your own people by not killing Lon Nol's soldiers and integrate all your former Khmer enemies into the Cambodian fold. After all, the Khmer Republic soldiers are also Khmers! Reconcilation is the best way to heal a wounded nation. You killed these soldiers and encouraged your own KR soldiers to hate the people in Phnom Penh and cities not under your control before April 17, 1975 and yet you expected to defend Cambodia against your perceived Vietnamese invasion or threat.

All of the above are just common sense and you don't need to go to Paris to learn such a common sense.

The KR leadership is too insane to be considered normal!

Noun Chea needs Ray-Bans sunglasses in the ECCC because he can't face the reality of his stupidity and his regime insanity!

I feel sick in the stomach each time I see the pictures of Pol Pot, Noun Chea, Khieu Samphan and Ieng Sary!
