Mr. Rong Chhun deserves my sincere respect and admiration for being courageous and patriotic in all his works to defend Cambodia's and Cambodian interests.
Demarcation of the borders should be turned into an open process with no hidden agenda where scholars, members of parliament and other interested parties who are knowledgeable about the Cambodian map of 1964 and the French colonial map of Indochina can participate fully to discuss the pro and con of the agreements before any signing is made.
If Mr. Var Kim Hong is sincere with his statement, then he has nothing to worry about this forum and should be the very person to ask the government to create such a forum and put any further discussion of the borders on hold citing legitimate public outcry.
Mr. Sean Peng Se, President of Cambodia’s Border Committee in Paris and his colleagues plus members of the opposition parties should be invited to the open forum.
The process of discussion should be open and broadcasted on air as it involves the territory of Cambodia which belongs to all Cambodians inside and outside the country and this left-over sacred territory is not a personal object of the government in power or anyone.
Do not make a mistake of personal gain in a man's lifetime and get condemned for eternity in history!
Do not try to beat Chey Chetha II in selling out Cambodia to her neighbours, especially the eastern one!
