In the 1920s, a group of Samreh people (KI-Media Note: According to history, Trasak Pa'em, the ancestor of the current Khmer dynasty belonged to the Samreh people) came from the north to perform in Angkor Wat for the contemporary king of Cambodia (KI-Media Note: King Sisowath reigned from 1904 to 1927). Their performance of the traditional "trot" music and dance were so well received that the tribal folk were invited to come and live around the temple complex so the king could see them whenever he wanted.

Thank all Khmer everywhere keeping their own robam trot.
Let the precious robam trot last
forever.
All Khmers,
Robam Trot with whole elements represent a CHARRIOT (or ROTESS in Khmer).
