What a beautiful song full of very sad, but so real meaning! The song is even made more melodious by the truth it portrays of the evil of the big foreign and local companies and the disregard on the part of the government and the King for the poor who receive nothing, but injustice again and again.
The demonstration is within a stone's throw of the royal palace and yet we have seen no presence of His Majesty, the King of Cambodia to find out what is going on. Hiding in the palace at this crucial moment bodes very badly for the future and necessity of monarchy in Cambodia.
Coming out to talk to your subjects in this moment of crisis does not mean that you are taking side, Your Majesty, it simply means that you are fulfilling your role as required of you! In fact, to hide within the wall of the royal palace tells me clearly that you have been taking side.
Cambodian leaders of all generation since world war II plus the current King have received zero mark for their leadership and wisdom from me.
Listening to prince Ranariddh's interview with RFA, I could not help but have a very low opinion of him and his recently reconciled FUNCINPEC party. This prince who has done nothing much for the poor Cambodians since 1993 has the guts to attack the opposition parties of Mr. Sam Rainsy and Kem Sokha hoping to gain favor with our strong man and thus being able to continue living his lavish life style in Cambodia. In addition, he had shamelessly asked for a chance to lead Cambodia and promised that he would make a difference 3 months later. Even the most stupid person in this world knows he is talking nonsense. Why would you wait until you become PM to do something for your people, HRH? Show us what you have got before asking us to give you a vote of confidence. Zero is what you are entitled to right now!
I hope in the next year election ordinary Cambodians give his party no vote of confidence to show him that monarchy in Cambodia is a useless institution which cannot even fulfill its role as guaranteed under the constitution of the Kingdom of Cambodia.
Political leaders of Cambodia including Your Majesty, the King, come out and look at all of these brave children in the face; though still young, they are here to tell you their suffering which you have decided not to hear or be bothered with. Think and tell me what leadership is all about.
This message is about the unfair votes because of 1.5 milion names been missing.
Normally, in the west, everyone would have a membership card and would go straight directly to school ground of their suburb, and then straight to get their bullet paper containing pictures of their elected leaders whom they might want to vote e.g. pic1 Hun Sen-le an (name of rep)or pic2 SR- monie an, pic3 HR kem sokha-julie an etc. The commissioners/volunteer workers would hold a large book containing all of the voter's names from age 18 and over and who hold a khmer citizenship, ready to be ticked off from the book. at the end of the day the machine will tell who went to vote or not, for the not, there will be a fine of $70. But what the CPP did here,so far, is another dodgy things going on there. Nevertheless,it works according to their planned as usual...he said that he will rule until he turns 80, ring a bell, everyone? nevertheless the truth will always comes in the end, just wait and see how far.
When a student cheat on a final exam, he'll pass. He qualify as an engineer, a doctor, electrician and whatever on a paper. However, practically, this person is unqualified to practice his learned talent. If work as a doctor will cause some people to die. If work as an engineer will cause some engines to malfunction. If work as an electrician will cause some people to die in electrical execution.
If an individual who orchestrated in electoral fraud to win as a PM, he'll turn the country upside down and common people will end up suffering a lot. This is the result in Cambodia when it runs by a fraud and an unqualified leader.
Yes you are absolutely right! he will continue to rule to ruin the whole country like, "Cambodia for sale everyone". All the monies will go in this family tree's pockets. By the end of his ruling time, Viets will then be moving in to kill all of his family members and then will get all of their wealth including the whole country. Thanks to the dump ass leaders.
The song that you are linsting was released and translated from a Chinese movie (shaw Brothers) which was showed in Cambodia in the 1970 - 1971. The title in Khmer 'Cher Chit Shart Troung'. Very depressing film.

Pissed off, I appreciate your intellectual input, especially about the King? of Cambodia.
