In response to the opinion published by The Nation newspaper (Cambodia demeans the Asean chair), Her Excellency Comrade You Ay sent the following response to The Nation. The question is: why does she send a response in Khmer to an opinion written in English by a Thai newspaper?
On another note, we believe that H.E. You Ay may want to watch her back closely after her strong criticisms of 2 ASEAN countries involved in the South China Sea dispute which she refused to name - Vietnam and The Philippines. While it is OK for her to criticize The Philippines, her remarks against Vietnam may not go unanswered, i.e. one never stabs one's own boss in the back.

i don't think she's angry; she's probably annoy by biased, prejudice, discrimination people, you know. i can understand her standing up and defending cambodia because i would do the same as well if i see people are biased, prejudice and discriminatory and ignorant and outdated in their thinking toward my country cambodia, you know. more power to her for standing up and help promoting and not bashing my country cambodia, you know. god bless her and her beloved country cambodia always. all khmer politicians should be like her, really.
Can't she find anyone to translate her letter to English before she send it to The Nation ? It's embarrassing to see someone at her position writing Khmer ( her own Language ) to other Country .
