Cham Prasidh, Commerce Minister, pays tribute to Chinese ancestors in Xiamen

PHNOM PENH (Cambodia Herald) - Commerce Minister Cham Prasidh has paid tribute to his ancestors in the eastern Chinese coastal city of Xiamen, a Chinese website reported Saturday.
Whatsonxiamen.com quoted the Haixi Morning News as saying that he visited the Jiangxia Ancestral Hall of the Huang Family Association in the city's Siming district last week.
The report said Cham Prasidh was born Ung You Teckhor, or Huang Yudehu in Mandarin, to a Chinese family engaged in entrepôt trade. It said he learned only six months ago that his family emigrated from Xiamen to Cambodia during the Qing Dynasty (1875-1908).
Cham Prasidh reportedly said he recalled his parents speaking and writing Chinese and that he hoped to trace his roots with a few family photos and a family tree.

First, I think you got the right story.
The main reason why Vietnam keeps Ah Hun Sen and his cronies such as Ah Choy Prasith in power because these traitors have closely followed its orders.

All Khmer Rouge Leaders are Khmers of Chinese origin. Most Khmers in high positions since King Paramarãjã VIII (Añg Sur) took the throne were Chinese. It was written in the history (Dutch or Holland).
Sihanouk reign also had mostly Khmers of Chinese ethnic.

As you guys have said that most educated Khmer leaders were/are Khmer of mixed Chinese descendants but anti-Chinese sentimental not from them but from lower ranking soldiers or university

The Chinese of Khmer descendants were economic immigrants and they integrated with Khmer society very well and they never post any danger to Khmer sovereignty, it's just different type of grasses that grow on the same lawn.

Hun Sen once said that he himself does not ever celebrate the Chinese New Year and under his administration, all public servants and officials are required to show up for work on the Chinese New Year Day since it is never an official public holiday. Do you know how else Hun Sen explained himself regarding the high absenteeism among his government officials? Hun Sen said, how could I stop any of them at all? They all claimed ethnic celebration time. Hun Sen continued that if he said anything about ethnicities, then the world would condemn him as being biased against Cambodia's ethnic minorities rights. Even in his very own household, Hun Sen said that his wife and the children all celebrate the Chinese New Year and he as the supreme leader of his household and the entire Cambodia could do nothing about it. LOL.
Kat Chen or Kat Khmer does not matter as long as those people protect Khmer's interest.

Personally, I think the "right subject" that Khmer must worry about is the mass incessant influx of the Vietnamese into Cambodia, making Khmer people a minority in the near future.

Yeahh every Asian bragged to be Chinese origin. There were main seven ethnic groups: the Chin of Chin Nation (2nd largest nation), the Chu largest nation, Han nation (smallest nation), Wei nation, Chi nation, Zhao nation, and Yen nation.
