Rong Chhun Visiting San Jose - Mr. Rong Chhun – Labor Rights Champion & Human Rights Advocate

Dear Community Members:

Mr. Rong Chhun is best known as president of the Cambodian Independent Teachers Association or CITA for his stance on teachers’ rights. But his works actually involve larger issues facing Cambodia today - human rights, labor rights, and national integrity.

Mr. Rong Chhun is one of the few Cambodian leaders who made it their goal in life to promote and protect basic rights and national integrity. He had been jailed for doing so in the past and is being tried for continuing to advance these topics today.

Mr. Rong Chhun will visit San Jose at the time and place listed below to share with us his first-hand knowledge of what is happening in Cambodia now and what will likely happen in the near future. Please join us in welcoming him.
