នាងរស់ ៣ (Ruth is an ancestress of Jesus)

The book is named after one of its main characters, a young woman of Moab, the great-grandmother of David and an ancestress of Jesus.  The only other Biblical book bearing the name of a woman is Esther.

Ruth 3

New International Version (NIV)

Ruth and Boaz at the Threshing Floor

One day Ruth’s mother-in-law Naomi said to her, “My daughter, I must find a home[a] for you, where you will be well provided for. Now Boaz, with whose women you have worked, is a relative of ours. Tonight he will be winnowing barley on the threshing floor. Wash, put on perfume, and get dressed in your best clothes. Then go down to the threshing floor, but don’t let him know you are there until he has finished eating and drinking. When he lies down, note the place where he is lying. Then go and uncover his feet and lie down. He will tell you what to do.”

“I will do whatever you say,” Ruth answered. So she went down to the threshing floor and did everything her mother-in-law told her to do.

When Boaz had finished eating and drinking and was in good spirits, he went over to lie down at the far end of the grain pile. Ruth approached quietly, uncovered his feet and lay down. In the middle of the night something startled the man; he turned—and there was a woman lying at his feet!

“Who are you?” he asked.

“I am your servant Ruth,” she said. “Spread the corner of your garment over me, since you are a guardian-redeemer[b] of our family.”

10 “The Lord bless you, my daughter,” he replied. “This kindness is greater than that which you showed earlier: You have not run after the younger men, whether rich or poor. 11 And now, my daughter, don’t be afraid. I will do for you all you ask. All the people of my town know that you are a woman of noble character. 12 Although it is true that I am a guardian-redeemer of our family, there is another who is more closely related than I. 13 Stay here for the night, and in the morning if he wants to do his duty as your guardian-redeemer, good; let him redeem you. But if he is not willing, as surely as the Lord lives I will do it. Lie here until morning.”

14 So she lay at his feet until morning, but got up before anyone could be recognized; and he said, “No one must know that a woman came to the threshing floor.”

15 He also said, “Bring me the shawl you are wearing and hold it out.” When she did so, he poured into it six measures of barley and placed the bundle on her. Then he[c] went back to town.

16 When Ruth came to her mother-in-law, Naomi asked, “How did it go, my daughter?”

Then she told her everything Boaz had done for her 17 and added, “He gave me these six measures of barley, saying, ‘Don’t go back to your mother-in-law empty-handed.’”

18 Then Naomi said, “Wait, my daughter, until you find out what happens. For the man will not rest until the matter is settled today.”

TO STUPID INTELLECTUAL SENG THEARY,
“Tell a devout Christian that his wife is cheating on him, or that frozen yogurt can make a man invisible, and he is likely to require as much evidence as anyone else, and to be persuaded only to the extent that you give it. Tell him that the book he keeps by his bed was written by an invisible deity who will punish him with fire for eternity if he fails to accept its every incredible claim about the universe, and he seems to require no evidence what so ever.”

Letter to a Christian Nation ,

“In fact, "atheism" is a term that should not even exist. No one ever needs to identify himself as a "non-astrologer" or a "non-alchemist." We do not have words for people who doubt that Elvis is still alive or that aliens have traversed the galaxy only to molest ranchers and their cattle. Atheism is nothing more than the noises reasonable people make in the presence of unjustified religious beliefs.”

To Seng Theary,

“If you think that it would be impossible to improve upon the Ten Commandments as a statement of morality, you really owe it to yourself to read some other scriptures. Once again, we need look no further than the Jains: Mahavira, the Jain patriarch, surpassed the morality of the Bible with a single sentence: "Do not injure, abuse, oppress, enslave, insult, torment, torture, or kill any creature or living being." Imagine how different our world might be if the Bible contained this as its central precept. Christians have abused, oppressed, enslaved, insulted, tormented, tortured, and killed people in the name of God for centuries, on the basis of a theologically defensible reading of the Bible. (23)”

TO Seng Theary,

“It is time we admitted, from kings and presidents on down, that there is no evidence that any of our books was authored by the Creator of the universe. The Bible, it seems certain, was the work of sand-strewn men and women who thought the earth was flat and for whom a wheelbarrow would have been a breathtaking example of emerging technology. To rely on such a document as the basis for our worldview-however heroic the efforts of redactors- is to repudiate two thousand years of civilizing insights that the human mind has only just begun to inscribe upon itself through secular politics and scientific culture. We will see that the greatest problem confronting civilization is not merely religious extremism: rather, it is the larger set of cultural and intellectual accommodations we have made to faith itself.”

Seng Theary,
This a good piece for you:

“We read the Golden Rule and judge it to be a brilliant distillation of many of our ethical impulses. And then we come across another of God’s teachings on morality: if a man discovers on his wedding night that his bride is not a virgin, he must stone her to death on her father’s doorstep (Deuteronomy 22:13-21).”

To Seng Theary,

“Indeed, religion allows people to imagine that their concerns are moral when they are highly immoral - that is, when pressing these concerns inflicts unnecessary and appalling suffering on innocent human beings. This explains why Christians like yourself expend more "moral" energy opposing abortion than fighting genocide. It explains why you are more concerned about human embryos than about the lifesaving promise of stem-cell research. And it explains why you can preach against condom use in sub-Saharan Africa while millions die from AIDS there each year. (25)”

Dear Theary Seng,
You are brilliant, keep up your good work and never be discourage by the evil ones. God is on your side and He is watching over you.
Our God is a living God, He is powerful and almighty. We are under God's spirit; the others are under evil's spirit. Human race is in the battle field between these two spirits; God's and the Devil's, at last we will surely win as we are on God's side and our God is more powerful than their dead gods or the evil devil demons.
We need to forgive our friends here for they did not know what they are doing. They have been cheated by the Devil's spirit.
They pretend to be clever and smart but in reality they are slave to the devil.
Sorry to say the truth as the truth will hurt somebody.

Dear Sam Harris,
Which side are you on? God's or Satan's?
Some people wanted to make this world into animal kingdom where they can do both to their mothers and their daughters.
I don't think God would allow people achieve it like that.
Theary Seng is not alone on this planet earth. millions or billions will be like her.
At the moment Christianity spreading from the West, in the near future Christianity will be spreading from the East.
Let's wait and see the prophecy fulfilled.

Religion in Britain is close to non existent. The culture here has been to question authority and ultimately decide for oneself on not just religion but politics, commerce etc.

Given the facts that are available to everyone today, anyone willing to start from a blank page then there's only one way that one can go.

2000 years ago it was faith against little else but today it is difficult to have a debate in which only faith can reign supreme despite the controlled and mathematical argument given

It's not the actual Sam Harris postings, it's a robot of Sam Harris being use to spread his pea brain size. Sam Harris doesn't know how to fix a leakee bucket, let alone trying to counsel God who gave him his pea brain size.

The Oceans would run dry if everything could be written of the truth of God's power, might, wisdom, counsel, love, righteousness...etc.
