What is the Khmer word for "linen"?

While editing the Gospel of Mark, I was stuck in finding the Khmer word for "linen", as in one place, the current Khmer Standard Version (2005) of the Bible left the word untranslated, but in another place, it used the term ក្រណាត់ផាឌិប.  My assistant search the dictionaries and found this unsatisfactory Khmerized pronunciation of the English word.  At other times, I have heard the equally unsatisfactory Khmerized pronunciation of the French word "lin".

Then of course, I went to the smartest Cambodian I know, who shall remain nameless for the time being, to verify the KSV term, and voila!:

"the definition of ផាឌិប online and this is a very good explanation provided: "raw cotton fabric, rough cloth made of cotton or kapok and similar to hopsacking or burlap, broad cloth. (It is rougher than ទេសឯក់ sometimes worn during funeral ceremonies)".

Now that I remember it, in the past, people use ក្រណាត់ផាឌិប to make clothes during funeral, it's not as rough as "burlap" (ក្រណាត់បាវ) material used to make rice sacks (that's what the Chinese use to make their funeral clothes), but not as refined as ក្រណាត់ទេសឯក (woven cotton).

As for the material used to make ក្រណាត់ផាឌិប, it's called អំបោះឆៅ, i.e. raw cotton thread that looks kind of pinkish-brown-white. Come to think about it, when I was young, my mom always make candles for certain religious ceremonies at home. These candles are used for family ceremonies, wedding and the special occasion that my father has to take to the palace during the first day of New Year celebration. These candles are made out of pure bee wax and the wick has to be made with អំបោះឆៅ. Out of concerns that the wax is not pure beewax, my mom had to always make them herself.
Therefore, out of the explanations above, ក្រណាត់ផាឌិប is a close enough translation for "linen".

Theary have you checked what the 1957/58 khmer bible said. Time and again i find that the first translation is by far more accurate than what was published by the Bible Society in the 1970's. From a fellow khmer believer.

Linen can't call "ក្រណាត់ផាឌិប," because linen producted from the higher material of cotton.
The right name in our Khmer language is "ក្រនាត់ទេសឯក".
Just written ក្រនាត់ with ន and not ណ, because the word ក្រ and ណាត់can't separate from each other.

Why?? Because of the nominative form: អំណោយ។
We never had a noun អំណោ្យ nor អំនោ្យ nor worst
of all អម្នោ្យ, but អំណោយ។ So this derivative អំណោយ
is then the evidence proving that អោយ was the only
legitimate starting form.
We now can conclude and can write ...

You know, I don't think silk is ever mention in Scripture. All the priests clothing were of linen. If the silk worms are consider un-kosher, therefore this would be off limit to any any Jew.

I know the issue here is linen in Khmer tongue.

Dear Khmers,

What is the Khmer word for " Yuon jork Srok " ?
The time bomb is ticking.
Dictator and Traitor Hun Sen has been leasing our country to Yuon for 99 years, to pay back his own political debts.
Let's wake up and fight our enemies.
