Yingluck to attend Sihanouk cremation [-No Thai royalties to attend the event?]

Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra will attend the cremation ceremony of former Cambodian king Norodom Sihanouk in Phnom Penh on Friday.

Somdech Preah Norodom Sihanouk, who was also twice Cambodian prime minister, died in October 2012 aged 89 in Beijing, China. His son King Norodom Sihamoni, is the current sovereign of Cambodia.

The late monarch was identified by the Guinness Book World of Records as a politician who set a record by serving in the greatest variety of political offices.

He served two terms as king, two as sovereign prince, one as president, two as prime minister, and numerous positions as leader of various governments-in-exile.

Too bad no Thai royal members will atttend Sihanouk's funeral. When King Phumipol dies one day sooner or later do not expect King Sihamony to attend Thai king's funeral.
