Probably because he knows the story is ridiculous none-sense and doesn't want to smear his reputation as a gossiper by taking up personal gossips like that.

Pen Sovan and other thoudsand of other Khmer Viet Minh lived in Hanoi ( North Vietnam ) for so long they left Cambodia after 1954 Genveva conference for Hanoi and lived there tilled 1978.
Pen Sovan wife's was Pham Van Dong's niece.
Note: Heng Samrin, Chea Sim are former Khmer Viet Minh as well. this is the only portion of Khmer Viet Minh have been known to Khmer public.
Pen Sovann has been hiding a lot from what he has known about Viet Minh and Viet Congs dirty tircks and plans to swallow Cambodia and to exterminated Khmer ethnics from our homeland.
For instance in late 2011 when Pen Sovann visited Australia a lot of Khmer have asked him to reveal the names of yuon Viet Congs who now dress like Khmer and working in Hun Sen as High ranking officials but Pen Sovann refused.

about his politic life. Now he jointed with Mr. Sam Rainsy in the new Party.
To Penn Sovann, it is time to clear your name as a traitor of Khmer Nation. Speak out louder to a press conference, so you clear your name and you will help CNRP. If not to do this, you betray khmer people by hiding the truth ! I know that you are the traitor of khmer Nation but it is time to recuperate your name as a Khmer who love your country !

Dear All,
Mr. Pen sovann was a khmer Vietminh, served in the NVA and resched to the rank of Colonel. He was the first prime minister of the Khmer Salvation Front in 1979. was arrested with Chan Si and Ros Samay by Hun Sen and the NVA on Chagres that the three did not obey Hanoi orders on Immigration of Vietnamese, K5 and plot to go independence from Vietnam. Chan Si and ros samay died in custody in Russia after tortures.
Pen Sovann was under arrest in Hanoi for 10 years before released and came back to Cabodia. Wrote a book to explain and went on numeruos interviews to express his view on political circuits.
currently Mr. Pen Sovann is one of the vice presidents of the united Front formed by Mr. Sam Raingsy and Kem Sokha.

the book didnot tell us about Chhouk Tep question. Can he explain us about this ? the Chhouk Tep's question is very important !
In 2 books written by Pen Sovann in summary it was totally wrong about Pol Pot , Pen Sovann says agian and again that all the killing between 1975-1979 was committed by Pol Pot but if we look at these only 2 things :
1. Why this ECCC has so many problems and obstacles from Hun Sen.
2. The real origins of Pol Pot or Khmer Rouge between 1975-1979 are a combination of a Paris students group and more than half are former Khmer Viet Minh such as:
1. Heng Samrin.
2. Chea Sim.
3. So Phim.
4. Rhos Nhim.
5. Norn Sourn.
6. Ny Sarann.
7. And many more... .
So million of Khmer were killed between 1975-1979 as Pen Sovann says in his 2 books is absolutely yuon Hanoi agent ( Pen Sovann ).

I agree with you. Before his arrest, MR Pen Sovann have tried to negatiated with resistance fighters at the Thai border, in order to free Cambodia from Vietnam 's hand. But this plan was failed that caused his arrest. People who are blaming MR Pen Sovann know nothings about him and his love for Cambodia. Please try to know more about him before you are belling.
