Of the 10% tip that is automatically included in the
bill, ONLY 5% go to the staff!!!!!!
Simply, this is STEALING. Or,
CHEATING, as my friend Bunleng succinctly put it. But then he tried to
assure me that all the foreign places do this -- NOT A CONSOLATION.
All
of these places are CHEATS and THIEVES and the places should be banned.
Everyone who frequents these places should ask whether 100 PERCENT of
the tips will go to the staff; if not, the customer should walk out,
giving the reason why.
A few years back, Raffles Le Royal encountered a
massive strike against it when it stole 100% of the tips from the staff.

តំណាងសហគមន៍អោយដឹងថា អ្នកភូមិមានគ្នាប្រមាណជាង៨០នាក់ នៅថ្ងៃទី១២ និង១៣ មករា ២០១០ បំបែកគ្នាជា២ក្រុម ចូលព្រៃដើម្បីសិក្សាពីព្រំប្រទល់ដីសហគមន៍ និងព្រៃអភិរក្សសត្វព្រែ ហើយបានប្រទះឃើញជនជាតិយួនជាក្រុមតូចៗ មានគ្នាពី ២ ទៅ ៦នាក់ ប្រដាប់ដោយម៉ាស៊ីនកាប់ឈើ២គ្រឿង និងត្រាក់ទ័រដឹកឈើ ២គ្រឿង។ ក្នុងនោះក្រុមសហគមន៍បានចាប់ឃាត់ក្រុមជនជាតិ យួន៥នាក់ ម៉ាស៊ីនកាត់ឈើ២គ្រឿង និងត្រាក់ទ័រមួយគ្រឿង ប្រគល់ទៅអោយប្រធានយោធាប៉ុស្តិ៍ព្រំដែនលេខ៨ ប៉ុន្តែប្រធានប៉ុស្តិ៍ បានគំរាមក្រុមសហគមន៍ហើយបញ្ជាអោយដោះលែង ជនជាតិយួននិងវត្ថុតាងទៅវិញអស់។

What is the Village? Is it a pub, bar? Theary Seng, your comments needs to be clearer for those are are unaware of goal. You tried to convert us Khmer from Khmer Buddhism into Western Christian religions, now you are trying to get us to boyscott the Village.

Theary is talking about tips, it looks like a type of business that normally gives tips e.g they might get $100 tips on that day, to be shared by workers of 10, which means $10 for each person but they only get to recieve just a $1 out of the $10, where the $90 goes to the boss pocket, sic!
This is called 'greed'. This kind of behaviour has been seen from the top down and should be stop! before it is too late because doing what is right and just is everything. you can not buy it and you got to earn it from the heart, the heart of loves, concerns and loyal to their workers etc. Since nothing last forever, might as well do good. In other words, better safe than sorry.
Cont...after reading it again, it means 50% to the staff and 50% goes to the boss e.g 10% tips and 5% go the staff.
