The leader of the Cambodian opposition Sam Rainsy claimed Monday the intervention of the UN to find a solution after the elections of July 28, whose victory was claimed by both camps, amid accusations of fraud.
After an election described by local and international organizations as unfair, the Cambodian People's Party (CPP) of Prime Minister Hun Sen announced retain its majority in parliament with 68 seats against 55 in the National Rescue Party of Cambodia (NLRB ) of Rainsy.
The NLRB rejected the results, claiming himself as the victory with 63 of the 123 seats in parliament. He also called for the creation of a commission of inquiry into what he described as a massive fraud, requesting the participation of the United Nations and civil society.
At a rally Tuesday afternoon, the opposition will "ask the UN to come and solve the problems of elections to protect the victory of the Cambodian people," said Rainsy Monday.
Saturday, the NLRB agreed to work with the CPC and the Electoral Commission (NEC) to investigate allegations of fraud, but then announced that he would not participate in the meetings of the commission of inquiry if the UN was allowed to be the referee.
"We do not trust the NEC. We will join the investigation when the UN will "hammered Rainsy returned from exile before the election after being pardoned by surprise they felt political convictions.
But the government and the NEC have them repeated that the United Nations could only observe the process, without being a member of the commission.
The UN called Friday for the dispute between the two parties is "refereed fairly," adding that she had not received any formal request to participate in an on-site investigation.
These laws are the worst since 1998 the ruling party has lost 22 seats compared to the outgoing assembly.

It is better have an uprising to protect the will of the people rather than national reconciliation. It can't be done when the will of the people is not respected as the Cambodian people will never live at peace seeing their victory being stolen by CPP.
The cost of UNTAC mission 2013 can be paid for by Cambodia's. oil revenue etc.
So CNRP must push and lobby for UNTAC mission 2013 to stabilise and for democracy to take root in Cambodia.
Only the UN is an impartial referee to the Cambodian people, NEC is just a tool of Hanoi and its puppet regime in Phnom Penh to annex Cambodia like they did to Laos.
Who's NLRB? Please proofread your article before you post it, otherwise it would be a good one.
CNRP live with own people forver!!!!!!
