Recently,
I discovered the sermons of my college pastor online. While at
Georgetown University (1991-95), I, along with 10-20 other Georgetown
friends, attended Fourth Presbyterian Church, a 10-15 minute drive from
campus through the manicured estates of Northwest Washington, DC to the
leafy suburban neighborhood of Bethesda in Maryland.
We drank in the deep wisdom of our college director, Chuck Jacob (now a senior pastor at Knox Presbyterian in Ann Arbor, MI) and of Dr. Rob Norris on Sunday mornings (and at times, classes he taught during the week days).
When I attended, the US Vice-President Dan Quayle and his family (and security detail), my Georgetown professor former UN Ambassador Jeanne Kirkpatrick, and many other well-known names from politics, academia and media, also attended. Dr. Norris' predecessor was then-chaplain of the US Senate, Dr. Richard Halverson.
All to say, if all of these accomplished people came Sunday after Sunday and benefited from Dr. Norris' sermons, maybe we too can find intellectual as well as spiritual nourishment from these talks?
It does not take long before one is taken in by the profundity and the humor -- not to mention, the accent! -- of Dr. Norris's exposition.

«កុំ ថ្កោលទោស អ្នកដទៃ ឲ្យសោះ, ដើម្បី កុំឲ្យ
ព្រះជាម្ចាស់
ថ្កោលទោស អ្នករាល់គ្នា។ បើ អ្នករាល់គ្នា ថ្កោលទោសគេ យ៉ាងណា,
ព្រះជាម្ចាស់ ក៏នឹងថ្កោលទោស អ្នករាល់គ្នា យ៉ាងនោះដែរ។ ព្រះអង្គ នឹងវាល់ ឲ្យអ្នករាល់គ្នា តាមរង្វាល់ ដែលអ្នករាល់គ្នា វាល់ឲ្យ អ្នកដទៃ។
«ហេតុអ្វី បានជាអ្នក មើលឃើញ ល្អងធូលី នៅក្នុងភ្នែក បងប្អូន, តែ មើលមិនឃើញ ធ្នឹម នៅក្នុងភ្នែក របស់អ្នក ដូច្នេះ?
បើ មានធ្នឹម នៅក្នុងភ្នែក របស់អ្នក,
ម្ដេច ក៏អ្នក និយាយ ទៅបងប្អូន ថា, “ទុកឲ្យខ្ញុំ
ផ្ដិតយកល្អង ធូលី ចេញពីភ្នែកអ្នក?” មនុស្ស មានពុត
អើយ! ចូរ យកធ្នឹមចេញ ពីភ្នែកអ្នក ជាមុនសិន, ទើបអ្នក មើលឃើញច្បាស់, ល្មម នឹងផ្ដិតយក
ល្អងធូលី ចេញពីភ្នែក របស់ បងប្អូនអ្នកបាន។
«កុំ យកអ្វីៗ ដែលជា របស់វិសុទ្ធ ទៅឲ្យឆ្កែ ឡើយ, ហើយ ក៏កុំ បោះត្បូងពេជ្រ របស់ អ្នករាល់គ្នា នៅមុខជ្រូកដែរ,
ក្រែងលោ វា ជាន់ឈ្លី, រួច បែរមក ត្របាក់ខាំ

របៀប ដែលត្រូវ អធិស្ឋាន
«ចូរ សុំ, នោះ ព្រះជាម្ចាស់ នឹងប្រទាន ឲ្យអ្នករាល់គ្នា។ ចូរ ស្វែងរក, នោះ អ្នករាល់គ្នា នឹងបានឃើញ។ ចូរ គោះទ្វារ,
នោះ ព្រះអង្គ នឹងបើក ឲ្យអ្នករាល់គ្នា ជាពុំខាន។ ដ្បិត អ្នកណាសុំ, អ្នកនោះ តែងតែ បានទទួល។ អ្នកណាស្វែងរក, អ្នកនោះ តែងតែ បានឃើញ។ ហើយ គេ តែងតែ បើកទ្វារ ឲ្យអ្នក ដែលគោះ។
«ក្នុងចំណោម អ្នករាល់គ្នា, បើ កូន សុំនំបុ័ង, មិនដែលមាននរណា យកដុំថ្ម ឲ្យគ្នាឡើយ។ ហើយ បើ កូន សុំត្រី ក៏មិនដែល មាននរណា យកពស់អសិរពិស ឲ្យគ្នាដែរ។ សូម្បីតែ អ្នករាល់គ្នា
ដែលជាមនុស្ស អាក្រក់ ក៏ចេះឲ្យ របស់ ល្អៗ ទៅកូន, ចុះ ចំណង់
បើព្រះបិតា របស់ អ្នករាល់គ្នា, ដែលគង់នៅ ស្ថានបរមសុខ,
តើ ព្រះអង្គ នឹងប្រទាន អ្វីៗ ដ៏ល្អៗ ឲ្យអស់អ្នក
ដែលទូលសុំ ពីព្រះអង្គ យ៉ាងណា ទៅទៀត! ដូច្នេះ បើ អ្នករាល់គ្នា
ចង់ឲ្យអ្នកដទៃ
ប្រព្រឹត្ត ចំពោះខ្លួន បែបណា, ត្រូវ ប្រព្រឹត្ត
ចំពោះគេ បែបនោះដែរ។ គម្ពីរវិន័យ និងគម្ពីរ ព្យាការី មានចែង ទុកមក ដូច្នេះឯង។
ទ្វារចង្អៀត
«ចូរ នាំគ្នា ចូលតាមទ្វារ ចង្អៀត, ដ្បិត ទ្វារ
ដែលនាំ ទៅរក សេចក្ដី វិនាស អន្តរាយ ធំណាស់, ហើយ
ផ្លូវ ទៅរក សេចក្ដី វិនាស ក៏ទូលាយដែរ។ មានមនុស្ស ជាច្រើន ចូលតាមទ្វារនោះ។
រីឯ ទ្វារ ដែលនាំទៅ រកជីវិត ចង្អៀត, ហើយ
ពិបាកដើរផង។ មានមនុស្ស តិចទេ រកផ្លូវនោះឃើញ។»

ដ៏ពិតប្រាកដ
«អ្នក ដែលចូល ទៅក្នុង ព្រះរាជ្យ នៃស្ថាន បរមសុខ មិនមែន ជាអ្នក ដែលគ្រាន់តែ
ហៅខ្ញុំ ថា, “ព្រះអម្ចាស់! ព្រះអម្ចាស់!” ប៉ុណ្ណោះទេ, គឺ ជាអ្នក ដែលធ្វើតាម ព្រះហឫទ័យ
របស់ ព្រះបិតាខ្ញុំ ដែលគង់នៅ ស្ថានបរមសុខ នោះវិញ។ នៅថ្ងៃនោះ នឹងមានមនុស្ស ជាច្រើន ពោលមកខ្ញុំ ថា, “ព្រះអម្ចាស់,
ព្រះអម្ចាស់ អើយ! យើងខ្ញុំ
ធ្លាប់ថ្លែង ព្រះបន្ទូល ក្នុងព្រះនាម ព្រះអង្គ។ យើងខ្ញុំ ធ្លាប់ដេញអារក្ស ក្នុងព្រះនាម ព្រះអង្គ, ហើយ យើងខ្ញុំ ក៏ធ្លាប់ ធ្វើការអស្ចារ្យ ជាច្រើន ក្នុងព្រះនាម ព្រះអង្គដែរ។”
ពេលនោះ ខ្ញុំ នឹងប្រកាស ប្រាប់អ្នករាល់គ្នា ថា, “ពួកអ្នក ប្រព្រឹត្ត អំពើទុច្ចរិត អើយ! ចូរ ថយចេញ ឲ្យឆ្ងាយ
ពីខ្ញុំទៅ។ ខ្ញុំ មិនដែលស្គាល់ អ្នករាល់គ្នាទេ!”
ប្រស្នា
អំពី មនុស្សពីរនាក់ សង់ផ្ទះ
«អ្នកណា ស្ដាប់ពាក្យខ្ញុំនេះ, ហើយ ប្រព្រឹត្តតាម,
អ្នកនោះ ប្រៀបបានទៅ នឹងមនុស្ស ឈ្លាសវៃម្នាក់ ដែលបាន សង់ផ្ទះ
របស់ខ្លួន នៅលើផ្ទាំងថ្ម។ ទោះបី ភ្លៀង បង្អុរ
ចុះមក, ហើយ មានទឹកជន់,
មានខ្យល់ បក់បោកប៉ះ នឹងផ្ទះនោះ យ៉ាងណា ក៏ដោយ, ក៏ផ្ទះនោះ
មិនរលំដែរ, ព្រោះ មានគ្រឹះ នៅលើផ្ទាំងថ្ម។ រីឯ អ្នក ដែលស្ដាប់
ពាក្យខ្ញុំនេះ តែមិនប្រព្រឹត្តតាម ប្រៀបបានទៅ នឹងមនុស្ស ឆោតល្ងង់ម្នាក់
ដែលបានសង់ផ្ទះ របស់ខ្លួន នៅលើដីខ្សាច់។ ពេលភ្លៀង បង្អុរចុះមក, ហើយ មានទឹកជន់, មានខ្យល់បក់
បោកប៉ះ នឹងផ្ទះនោះ, ផ្ទះនោះ រលំ បាក់បែក ខ្ទេចអស់
គ្មានសល់។»

It is obvious that CNRP leadership group, (and that includes Sam Rainsi, Kem Sokha, Samura, Mu Sochour, Son Chhay, Yim Sovan .... I now stop supporting CNRP which I capability and incompetency made me to waste so soooo much of my emotions, my deep seated spiritualism and soooo soooo much of my time.

ironically, people who love and have interest in cambodia are the one that often get involved.
the way i see it, challenging other have its time and place, but if someone is constantly challenges the other, it becomes trouble-making. that's something else. so, know when to stop and when to go.
