WHAT YOU SAID SHOWED THAT YOU ARE A LOW GRADE AS A HUMAN BEING. IT MAKES PEOPLE THINK ABOUT THE MIDDLE OF YOUR FAMILY AND LEVEL OF EDUCATION. DO YOU HAVE MOTHER, SISTER OR DAUGHTER? EVEN PEOPLE DO NOT SEE YOUR FACE, IT GIVE AN IMAGE THAT YOU LOOKS LIKE A RUSTED CAR IN THER JUNG YARD. BEHAVE YOURSELF AS BRAND NEW CAR WITH A ZERO MILD FROM THE DEALER. PEOPLE SEE YOU VERY CHEAP; IMAGINE, YOUR MOTHER, SISTER OR YOU DAUGHTER SAW WHAT YOU SAID. ..
This song, its name I too do not know, came to exist in the early 1970s in the movie titled: On Eoeuy Srey On, I vaguely remember, I might be wrong. But On Oeuy Srey On partly depict the Khmer old legend that influence the today Khmer Wedding tradition. The legend goes as follow: Once a man named Chey -or jey- is getting wedded. The then tradition requires some kind of candles made from bee wax, but there was no wax at time of wedding. The groom was then assigned by the villager to go out in the wood to look for the wax. So he went out as ordered but he went out with his friend. His friend's name is Suos. In the wood the big bee hive is spotted high in the tall tree. Jey climped up the tree to fetch the bee wax. But Suos who stay at the base of treee betray. He put off the ladder, and return to the village alone while Jey is stuck high in the tree. Suos lies to the villager at the continuing wedding that Suos has been dead. Then, Suos get wedded with the waiting bride in place of Jey. While paring-phtim- between Jey's bride and Suos is taking place, Jey who was saved by the spirit and alive came. Jey killed Suos-the friend and the traitor- by cutting his neck with sword and throw the head to the ground- from the still house. But in the movie, Jey disguide and pretend to be in the wedding musicical group and sing the above song sarcastically blessing his betrayal bride. In the old day, there are more formalities to depict this legend but today khmer wedding is going almost out of bound.
the song is "Thngay Chey". It was very popular on the Phnom Penh radio in 1973 and 74 and i'm glad it is still quite popular with today's Khmer generation.
