Kem Sokha, Human Rigths Party (HRP) President, said that the CPP is not that strong, but the democrats are weak. Speaking to The Mekong Times in an interview, Kem Sokha said that if the democrats have a clear strategy, the CPP would not be able to do anything against them. The CPP is not strong, but the democrats are weak. He added that: “if the CPP is really strong, it wouldn’t just obtain more than 3 million votes out of a total of more than 7 million voters. The CPP goes around distributing gifts and threats, and yet it obtained only this much votes, this means that the CPP is not strong, but that we are weak. Therefore, if we have clear strategy, like what Thaksin (Shinawatra), the former Thai PM who couldn’t return home, but he had a strategy to make another group win, then he can return back home again. However, Samdech Krom Preah (Norodom Ranariddh) does not have this idea. If he immediately declares to (his supporters) to vote for one party, then the latter will have a possibility to resolve his problem.” Kem Sokha added also that: “Mr. Sam Rainsy or us, we fight each other, we disagree with each other, but we must maintain a dialogue in order to have a common goal. If we have a strategy, we will surely win.”
