The silver Mercedes Benz car belonging to star singer and former TV host Lean April Kinin was smashed and destroyed by unknown assailants at 1:00 AM, in the early morning of 20 December, in front of a restaurant located behind the Royal Palace in Phnom Penh. Local newspapers reported that the car belonging to the star was destroyed by a group of 10 armed men who smashed all the windshields while the car was parked still. Lean April Kinin who fled the scene of the attack, told reporters that he did not know anybody in the group of people who destroyed his car, and that during the night of the incident, he did not have a fight with anyone. Lean April Kinin said that he wrote down the license place of the car used by the assailants and he brought his complaints to the Chey Chomneas commune police station so that it can help find the culprits.
