The leader of Cambodia’s opposition Mr Sam Rainsy and fellow MP Pol Ham, Chairman of the Cambodia National Rescue Party visited my office with many local Cambodians. This followed a fundraiser at Cabramatta attended by 400 Australian Cambodians.
They are concerned that scheduled July elections will be corrupted and that Prime Minister Hun Sen who is in the ten longest serving world leaders will be re-elected. Reliable external bodies have proven that 1.25 million voters have been illegally excluded from the polls and vast numbers of ‘ghosts’ added. Sam Rainsy is in exile due to Government use of the legal system to squash opponents.
The jailing of a 71 year old radio station owner, has followed the extrajudicial murders of environmental activists and union leaders.
The Government has abetted its cronies’ and foreign entrepreneurs’ seizure of peasants lands, due to the lack of formal Cambodian land ownership records. Resistance is met by police intimidation and forced evictions.
I salute the efforts of locals Ms Sovanairand Kay of Camden, a local community broadcaster and Centrelink staffer, and Mr Chhayri Marm of West Hoxton a migration agent for their steadfast efforts for their homelands.

Believe or not but it is the new experience:
Most of the so called returner politicians will not able to give or fulfill the need of the people, what they have promised before the election.
The expectation of the people in Cambodia will be enormous and the same as the people from the former communist countries in Europe.
It will be the same stories like in the most former communist countries in Europe.
At the end of the story, the local people or former politicians must have to take the responsible for the whole trouble, what the so called Cambodian National Rescue Party have left after their failure.

i told you, scam rainsy is outdated in his thinking. in fact, he's still thinking that western sanction can work in cambodia in this day and age. i think sanction ie if cambodia is bad will only work when cambodia is primitive, weak, chaotic, in war or undeveloped, etc. this is why i said again and again that cambodia must be developed and be modernized, forget all that primitive, outdated way of life going back to 1975, ok. scam rainsy is so outdated and perhaps incompetent and under-educated in a way, you know. so, don't vote for him. he can participate, but just don't vote for his incompetent, racist, outdated thinking party, that, all!
