Former Phnom Penh police commissioner, Heng Pov reveals top officials and a number of other officials' involvement with serious crimes in the past few years.

These crimes include: March 30, 1997 grenade attacks, the murder of a popular actress, Pisith Pelika, royalist FUNCINPEC party's top official, Ho Sok, and serious drug traffickings.

These allegations are mentioned in a nine-page report in English, confirmed to be Mr. Heng Pov's statement.

Mr. Heng Pov is reportedly abroad and is being wanted by Cambodian authorities and Interpol on criminal charges suspect.

Cambodian officials deny those charges, saying Mr. Heng Pov should press charges before fleeing, since he could file this report to many organizations and Embassies, and if he is clean.

He can then contest the law, says National Police Commissioner Hok Lundy whom Mr. Heng Pov also implicated.

The nine-page report believed to be written by Mr. Heng Pov stated in great details and to the point many murders and drug involvement connected to Prime Minister Hun Sen, and National Police Commissioner Hok Lundy.

Those crimes include hiring bodyguards to conduct grenade attacks in front of National Assembly building on March 30, 1997, resulted in 16 people dead and more than 100 people wounded, in a demonstration led by opposition party leader Sam Rainsy.

The report also says that actress Pisith Pelika was murdered in the same fashion, and that FUNCINPEC party's member Ho Sok, Ministry of Interior's general secretary was also killed the same way.

The report says that Mr. Heng Pov is innocent and was not involved in the government's charges.

In a special interview with VOA Tuesday, Mr. Hok Lundy says that he is aware of the nine-page report via e-mail two days ago, and that goal of the report is for a political asylum purpose.

Mr. Hok Lundy compares the country that accepts Mr. Heng Pov to the one that accepts a terrorist. He does not indicate which country will accept the fugitive, since he does not know Mr. Heng Pov's whereabout.

Cone on Hok Lundy! Heng Pov cannot survive during these years if he committed any crimes without any istruction from his leaders to carry it out. Offcourse he is a criminal working for a mafia state under Hun Sen. But he is far better than Kaing Kech Iev who was working for POl Pot and still enjoy to kill people under instruction of Pol Pot, Ieng Say, Khiev Samphann and Nuon Chea. He is far better than Sihanouk who knew very well about crimes committed by both regime Pol Pot and Hun sen but still happy to prtect these two regimes. Heng Pov must have to sacrified his life, his family, his lucrative position to reveal all criminal activities in Cambodia. The world of Cambodia community in every Nation must accept that Heng Pov has prepared to sacrifie his life, his family and his luxeray life in Cambodia for a thruthfull society. Bravo Heng Pov!! at least you want to come clean!!!!

Yes,comrade Lundy. Mr.Pov is,no doubt is a crook, criminal, but not a terrorist. The justice system love the crook because s/he can be used against other crooks and criminals when there is a time for prosecution. Do you that?

With the sacrifice of Heng Pov from his lucrative position offered by Hun Sen government until his sacking is a sign that Heng Pov has been fed up with his criminal activities ordered by his leadership to carry out onto the oppostion party members and also, most of the big criminal will be panic for their name to be revealed by heng Pov. All criminals will worried that monies in foreign bank will be lost if they will be caught by internation communities fro tehir illegal activities.

This saga is getting more and more interesting. It appears that Heng Pov is branded a terrorist before he is convicted of such a crime. Can anyone post his 9-page report please?

As the Cambodian justice system is not independent (a verdict can be dictated with a phone call from powerful personalities), Heng Pov will not find justice in his country for whatever crimes he is accused of committing. What about filing his report with an international organisation or embassy as suggested by a Cambodian official? There was one particular case in the past when one accused individual, who was also a citizen of another country, was dragged out of a diplomatic license-plated car by the Cambodian police. So, there is no safe haven there!

In his former position, there was little doubt that Heng Pov was also very corrupt, and so are his present bosses. It is well-known that the subordinates cannot do certain things with their boss' blessing. The truth about the high profile killings of the defendless victims, politically-motivated or not, may be at last revealed by someone who was from the inside of the above-the-law clan. I hope that other countries will not be intimidated by Cambodian top officials, and they should review Heng Pov's case for asylum in an unbiased manner and in accordance with the international law.

Let's hope more such cases come to light so that those powerful personalities, who commit crimes and corruption with impunity, can no longer harm the development of Cambodia and cause untold sufferings to the Cambodian people.

Help to save peov a small fish in order to catch a big fish. Peov should not be sent back to face the corrupt court. He is sure a corrupt person but all what he did based on his top boss's approval.
