Former King Norodom Sihanouk plans to file suit against an opposition newspaper he says slandered him with an unjust article.
A message in French from the former king asks Kong Samol, minister of the Royal Palace, to bring suit again the Sralanh Khmer newspaper and writer Yim Sem for attacking him and former Queen Monineath with "scornful" words.
The newspaper, which supports the Sam Rainsy Party, has three outstanding suits against it, but the paper's editor, Thach Keth, said he wasn't worried about this one. He had only published the words of the writer, Thach Keth said.
The article calls into question Monineat's right to be called "Queen Mother" or "Queen Grandmother" and links the former King Sihanouk to atrocities committed by the Khmer Rouge.
Kong Samol should seek a competent lawyer who loves truth and justice, the former king wrote, adding that he and the former queen would each be filing separate suits.
Pen Somithi, president of the Cambodian Press Club, said such allegations have been leveled at the former king in the past and that he would watch the case.
Sralanh Khmer has outstanding lawsuits with Hun To, the nephew of Prime Minister Hun Sen; Chiv Keng, chief of Phnom Penh Municipal Court; and Prince Norodom Chakrapong, acting president of the Norodom Ranariddh Party.

Not only Sralanh Khmer who published this document but many other documents are released via books, news world wide so that it is useless to sue / King shouls also sue PM Hun Sen while release Sin Sisamuth Song.."Leave mother to join Soldiers..: Sdach Lourk Dey Oy Yiek Cong.......
This act will reduce hisown popularity.....who some compatriots still considered him as Mature/Senior of Khmer Politician.
Preah Ang should also sue the whole Khmer History ..

Please stop insulting our King. According sanctuary to foreign troops in the context of that time (Cold war) was not selling land to Vietnam like CPP has done so far with the border settlement.
And stop talking about the origin of any person. It's purely a racist act. Queen Monineat was khmer or Italian-French khmer. It is normal to have foreign blood in your veins like many Chinese Cambodian-descents, Khmer Amrerican or khmer French and so on.
New blood make people beautiful, strong and dynamic. Personally I have Chinese blood but I feel khmer or Cambodian and I hate people calling me Chinese. I am Khmer and I love my Country Cambodia.
It Childish or stupid to blame some Khmers who have forign blood whatsoever it is, Chinese, Vietnamese American, French.....

It isn't the blood inside that show who she is. Rather the allegiance to vietnam that this whole royal clan hold that made them more vietnamese than their blood.
One may be born from whatever race their parents is. But, ones allegiance to the country and nation that give him/her livelyhood should be the criteria of being part of a nation.
Sihanouk, his wife and his royal relatives and cronies including Hun Sen and his clique are not khmers by this standard. These people pledge allegiance to vietnamese who wanted to eradicate khmers for centuries.
Former King Norodom Sihanouk should employ Bora Touch to represent him, he is all for the truth.
Man, I regret you are wrong. You have the biaised prejudice towords them. As human beings they might have committed some mistakes in their life. But I am sure they are not Vietnamese puppets like the CPP.
