The dog which is the representative of the past year Tevoda will transfer its duty to the pig, the representative of the New Year Tevoda. According to Moha Sangkran (the word Sangkran is derived from a Sanskrit word meaning “passing” or "moving") prediction, on the first day of the New Year which falls on Saturday, a great disaster will occur in the city located in the middle of the kingdom, it will be accompanied by a ravaging fire, the appearance of mean thieves, and severe illness will strike. The prediction for Sunday, the second day of the New Year, indicates that this year, rice farming will not be very fruitful due to lack of rain, and the rice plants will all be wilted. The prediction for Monday, the third day of the New Year, indicates that the New Year Princess and her followers will meet happiness and filled with all kind of wealth. The name of the pig year princess is “Mohorthor Tevy,” she is the seventh daughter of Brahma.
