In meetings with Deputy Prime Minister Sok An Thursday, the US and Canadian ambassadors discussed the Khmer Rouge Tribunal and said they were pleased with the outcomes of the April 1 commune elections.

Government spokesman Sean Visoth said Thursday both ambassadors had commended the elections, saying it went "smoothly without violence."

US Ambassador Joseph Mussomeli and Canada Ambassador Donica Pottie also discussed the Khmer Rouge tribunal, which has seen a deepening crisis in recent weeks.

Elections earlier this month were more peaceful than in elections past, but complaints of violence and intimidation have been sent to the National Election Committee for review.

Yep, and nobody got time to waste
on a small and unpredictable
normal irregularity that happened
everywhere, which will likely to
occured again in the 2008's
election and beyond.
