HRP is boasting that many people are joining it [-HRP learns to speak the political language?]

Tuesday, July 24, 2007
Rasmei Kampuchea newspaper
Translated from Khmer by Socheata

Following Kem Sokha’s HRP congress which was participated be numerous people, the party displayed its pride by boasting that important activists coming from the Sam Rainsy Party, the Funcinpec party, and the Norodom Ranariddh Party, are joining HRP in drove.

Opposition leader Sam Rainsy said that this is merely a boasting by a politician, and that it is normal for politicians to use such language to gain the public attention. However, Sam Rainsy said his party is constantly gaining more supporters than ever before.

Kem Sokha’s party officials revealed to the Kampuchea Thmei newspaper that in Svay Rieng province, the leadership of the SRP in the province defected to the HRP, and that besides this SRP party leader, numerous SRP members in Prey Veng, Kompong Chhnang, and various other provinces are also contacting the HRP.

Sam Rainsy told the Kampuchea Thmei that he did not hear about this issue, and he does not believe that the story is true. “I just held a meeting of important activists of my party from provinces and municipalities, they did not raise this issue. Activists from my party are performing their duties as usual in their localities, just like what they always did,” Sam Rainsy said.

Sam Rainsy said that such boastings are normal for politicians to show their extraordinary influence to attract the public attention. Nevertheless, the people will be the one who will provide the final evaluation. SRP is pursuing its numerous works to help poor people and the development of the country in the future.

Nouv Sovathero said that Funcinpec does not oppose, nor does it hold grudges against people who want to switch party. Nevertheless, Funcinpec wants to let people know that Kem Sokha is no other than a former member of the Funcinpec party, therefore, those who remain behind with the Funcinpec party are the true loyalist to this party.

The public(many schools and teachers) were told that Kem Sokha received USD 1,8 milllion from Hun Sen to establish HRP because HS want to break voter voince from SRP. They believed that SRP is still strong because of those people do not believe Kem Sokha. Kem Sokha is human right to trick people for his own power. In hiw party there are only neak chanh from other parties, like soubear, sovann... and muy domvor svar teat...

I just can't stop laughing!
Who are going to vote for the party that have proven nothing, except to boast.

And this HRP HAS NO QUALITY PEOPLE to drive the party, and what Kem Sokha knows is only one thing...curruption.

This party has no policy to put forward for people to consider, only stupid people rush to join this party. You are lucky to just having a few seats.

I just can't stop laughing!
Kem Sokha

It was heart that Kem Sokha stated on radio last time that if HRP will win election he will ask keo remy to do new constitution law. I wonder how keo remy write a new constitution. This party there is no persons who will be trust and no capacity to do such constitution. He bark like crazy man.

I absolutely afree to the above mentioned. It is laughable that Kem Sokha said there have many people from other parties have joined with his small party just held on Sunday 22nd Jul 2007. But actually, KEM SOKHA is the puppet to HUN SEN. Most people in PP do not interest with HRP and will not vote for in the 2008 election.

What Khem Sokha should focus; Rainsy should concentrate?

Khem Sokha's attitude is basically extreme. He is baseless to pre-conditioning SRP in democratic coalition.

In reality one party, with long one president is not a big obstacle to development democracy. But in reality, one country one leader (prime minister) is really dangerous to the nation.

* 1. One party with one long president doesn't affect bad to the development of democracy in that party when the party has democratic regulation. It depends on the by-laws of the party. Sometime head of the party or president of one organization doesn't have much power when decision is according major voice or it is limited by the organization rule. Ex. King of Cambodia or head of state has been limited power by national constitution.
* 2. SRP has reason for its keeping same leader. Cambodian people are absolutely, mostly voting or trusting person not policy or regulation. Ex. they voted for King Sihanouk. So Rainsy should be idealistic person to attract people. Cambodian people need longer time to walk on the path of law or regulation because they are still less educated. So Rainsy should stand as a main person to attract people for a while in SRP.
* 3. The problem of SRP has its rational perspective. The name of party is his own name, so it is legitimate keeping Rainsy in position. And this party name has come from the losing in Cambodian shadow court to reclaim Cheat Khmer Party back during the internal division.
* 4. Rainsy can stand as president of SRP in case of need now. But he cannot ignore or neglect the recent movement triggered by Khem Sokha. He should do some more broad envisioning plan to have a strong party administration. Doing so he can employ more effective members and strengthening this largest democratic party in Cambodia.
* 5. He should observe from CPP that they don't have rule to limit president of the party, but they need to adjust the administrative organization. CPP is standing strong, beside of huge coffer and power, we have to accept that they also have strong base of administration.
* 6. In this case, what is the intention of Khem Sokha to blame Rainsy with such slightest error to call for vote? It is really essential for Khem Sokha to join with SRP but it must not pre-conditioning with such subversive perspective.

Khem Sokha should begin their strategy to gain votes by facing with CPP. There are uncountable errors in CPP:

* 1. Corruption
* 2. Dictator with one prime minister
* 3. Illegal immigrants Yeaknam
* 4. Land grabbing
* 5. Culture of impunity
* 6. Yeaknam illegal employments
* 7. Controversial border treaty
* 8. Vote disfranchisements
* 9. Power centralizing in small group person of government
* 10. Education and Children competency...etc
* 11. Not independent court and assembly...etc
* 12. Poor condition, poverty, child birth rate of mortality, social gap...etc

HRP is not the independant party because we know very
well two new members of HRP is that :

- Mr Chan Ven (he is CPP member and was Minister of
Education during Youn domination in Cambodia 1979-1989).

-Mr Pen Sovann is always Youn spy (he is released by Youn
Hanoi in 1992 after 10years in jail at his house in yanoi).
The wife of Pen Sovann is youn lived in hanoi.

Chan Ven and Pen Sovann are Youn servant and Youn
spy. They also belong to CPP (Communist Pro youn Party).

Those are the same tricks that Mr Ung Phan (member of CPP
central committee) in Funcipec 1993 and during coup of 5-6 july 1997

Mr Kem Sokha had tendance to CPP (Communist Pro youn
Party) too

So HRP is not really an independant party or really brings
Democracy to Cambodia people

Yeah, IRI brings democracy to Cambodia People. But not
Kem Sokha because Kem Sokha did not belong to IRI..

Now It's the way for Kem Sokha to serve CPP (Communist Pro youn Party)

Now I get the big picture. When Kem Sokha registered his party it went smoothly, there was no hindrance from the CPP controlled authorities. Kem Sokha must know that if he is truly democratic and patriotic, attacking SRP brings him no gain. On the contrary his policies will serve the CPP knowingly or unknowingly. I suspect the former will be more correct as time goes by.

In the eyes of the Khmer patriots, HRP will be seen as the CPP's stooge. From the composition of HRP's central committees it can be seen and forecast that this party will end up like FUNCINPEC. Just days after the HRP's congress, its president started to attack Sam Rainsy. Why, for what purpose? Setting conditions for unification talks with SRP. This is a dumb move. All the sudden SRP is the enemy of HRP. The HRP's leadership must get its priorities right and don't forget to re-order it. Liberating Cambodia from the pro Youn government is the number one priority, not the bloody 2-term presidency, or who has the sole control over the party. If you the so-called patriots can't work with each other, how would you expect the poor peasants to do it on your be-half, wake up Kem Sokha, do not repeat the mistakes of the past.

We have seen the two royal parties are fighting. Now another two democratic parties are fighting. What is a politic in Cambodia!

Anyway, If Kem Sokha is a real democratic, he should not fight with SRP unless he is a fake democratic. He is a liar. He cheats poor people when he preached them about the human right when he was the NGO leader.
