Sam Rainsy: Ranariddh too unstable to unite with

Translated from Khmer by Socheata

Opposition leader Sam Rainsy, who just returned from Australia on 26 February, showed a lack of interest in the call issued by Prince Ranariddh who agreed to an election to choose the president of a newly formed party, should Sam Rainsy and Kem Sokha agree to unite with him. Sam Rainsy said that Prince Ranariddh’s standing is unstable and this caused difficulties in uniting with him.

Sam Rainsy said the SRP permanent committee is currently holding a meeting to reflect on this proposal. “We are collecting information and all the proposals to reflect upon,” Sam Rainsy said. Nevertheless, Sam Rainsy added that the SRP does not pay too much attention to this issue, and the proposal made by the prince is nothing new.

While the prince agreed to hold an election to choose the president for the would-be-formed party, should there be a union between the royalists and the democrats, Sam Rainsy is puzzled as to how this election would be held. He asked: “How do we organize it? What will be the rule?” He also said that he does not understand it very well yet.

Along with the lack of interest in uniting with the prince, Sam Rainsy believed in the solid strength of his party, he said: “We believe in our own strength. Prince Ranariddh has an unstable standing and we are having difficulties uniting with.” Even though Sam Rainsy showed his faith in the solid strength of the opposition party, the recent defection of high-ranking party officials has caused some concerns in the SRP.

However, Sam Rainsy said that he has a good grasp of the party grass root levels which do not pay attention to this issue. He added that the party grass root levels want the party leaders to have a strong standing. The party followers will not vote for any particular individual, but will vote only for the party as a whole.

Sam Rainsy is not the only one uninterested in the prince proposal, Kem Sokha, HRP president, also is not paying attention to the request to form a union made by the prince. He even declined to participate in the forum organized by Mam Sonando on 25 February, to survey the intentions of the three parties (SRP, NRP, HRP) to unite with each other.

Dr. Pung Chiv Kek, President of the Licadho human rights organization, pointed out the importance of the union which will provide a stronger voice for the opposition. She said that, it is normal that discordance will lead to weakness. However, she cannot predict whether these three parties can unite with each others or not. However, she noted that among these three parties, only the NRP participated in the forum organized by Mam Sonando’s Beehive radio station to discuss about the union, and to answer questions asked by the public.

Mam Sonando, Beehive radio station director, who came up with the forum idea, said that he cannot predict whether the 3 parties can unite with each other or not. He is only doing what the public want to see. He said: “For Cambodian politicians, you cannot predict about them. Only when they are about to die that they look for a monk (for a last rite). It’s only when their bodies can no longer accept intravenous injection that they remember the Dharma.”

I think if all of your want to compete with CPP you must come to join with SRP.

SRP has huge potential as the leading democratic party to make a positive change in Cambodia.

Come to join the SRP? FYI, people are living the SRP, dude.

I am glad if there is a union between SRP and HRP, but it should not include NRP because its president, Prince Ranariddh, is tricky, unstable and untrustworthy. He is also the one who has stolen his underling's wife. If the prince came to Cambodia again, he would be involved with another new misstress. He is a bit old, but he still has enough energy to sexually serve ladies.

Prince Ranariddh has made the poeple lose faith in him serveral times. He cheated the people and the nation . That is why poeple no longer believe in him and don't support his bullshit party. He is good at serving his mistresses, but not the nation.

We would like to take this opportunity to wish him to meet doom.

Thanks,

Why would you care? ... Or perhaps you're afraid of your own shadow -- if you do, don't! You only DIE ONCE!

I think you have become apprehensive too much because you're one of those retarded gorillas.

Stop dreaming, 5:29. Where did I said I care? I was just enjoying myself seeing how a bunch of clowns trying to deceived us into electing them to lead Cambodia, LMAO.

If the PRINCE was/is enough, Cambodia will be the democracy state since FUNCINPEC winned in 1993. During that times fast all the Khmer people believed in him and he had a big card to play against the communist party. But he dad not play and he was not a great waror. Now, it is toooo late.

But the good card for now is SRP and HRP must be united.

PLease, please, please, help Cambodia out of hell, my very wise leaders, Sam Rainsy and Kim Sokha. We,the teachers and students, have been supporting you for ages and hoping eagerly that you both can join. Why cannot? you're both not devils. you are in the same side, the light side not the dark side.

My beloved Khmers!

Bestowed liberty of CPP is obviously in reality only a decoy to fool the people. Evidently, this is what we always find in the practice of Cambodian democracy. The formal democracy already existed during Sihanouk's regime, but genuine democracy gloomly failed to appear because of killings, and therefore simply gave way to pure demagoguery like CPP. Does our historical poliSick repeat itself, in order to stay in power longer, one must selfishly kill his opponent? This is only my dull assumption, if SRP will not unify with other parties, I think therefore I firmly believe that I can not see the magnificence of burning candles' light!

Rannarith is only concern of his very own interests, finding himself a new young beautiful wife, and not Cambodia’s interests. Who ever welcome Ranarith will be disastrous.

Cambodia seems to have more self proclaimed leaders than followers; this is the exact reason why it’s hard for Cambodian political leaders as well as communities’ leaders to unite.

RANNARIDH is a looser. Don't vote for him or let him in the political areana. LOL, a law professor but ended up got beaten by a jungle boy. What ashame to Rannaridh. Get out looser. Cambodian don't looser like Rannaridh. We rather vote for SRP.

Ranarith = CHina + girlssss + corruption + thief + betayer + etc.
SRP = USA + democracy + trust + economic(Not Eng Chhay Eang)
HRP = USA + democracy + corruption - trust
CPP = China + security + corruption - human right

Your choice? correct me from wrong my beloved Khmer!

Anonymous said...

You sure any thing can come with USA? 9:40

You forget Viertname for CPP!

Anonymous said...

It's all useless at this time anyway. Read www.about-cambodia.blogspot.com. That's the reality.

Anonymous said...

Okay 9:40, I will correct you per your requested.

SRP = Khmer Republic = record breaking corruption, once in power, just like how the sweet and charming Khmer Republic was.

Anonymous said...

To 3:42AM

Good correction! I fully agree with you and will be at your side.

Poeple, please vote for Sam Rainsy.

Thanks,

Just a word of suggestion, it might be a good idea for HRP not to unite with SRP. HRP is gaining popular significantly. It's the people's party, and people are leaving SRP. Key members, founding members in fact, are already left SRP because they hated to see from the inside that they are using Khmer nation to seek their power and glory.....they lied to the people of Cambodia. Enough lies. HRP, please do not unite with SRP. If you decided to unite, just give Rainsy a deputy secretary general position. He is good in clerical work. HEahha

Dear KY;

Love your comment. Do You mean "Come in a members of SRP or political party". please clarify.

Dr. Pung Chiv Kek, President of the Licadho human rights organization, pointed out the importance of the union which will provide a stronger voice for the opposition.

Is well said but cannot predict that they [SRP, HRP an NRP] can unit with other or not.

Can't see that leader of SRP, HRP and NRP "NOT Wanting to be PM for once in a their life time or in case of leader of NRP to be PM for the second time", even there is a push to do so from all their members and people of Cambodia - to high price to sacrifice.

We build our party (CPP) based on tenacious adherence of convictions and principles, and therefore our philosophy and ideology undoubtedly make our party even mor impregnable firewall. However, if you're strifeful and ambitious to audaciouly dare to challenge our convictions and principles ... we will not desist your from attain your ambition. YOU WILL FAIL ABYSMALLY!

What are retarded gorillas!
