Opposition leader Sam Rainsy and HRP president Kem Sokha considered the declaration issued by the NRP on 10 March as talks “in the cloud” or “empty,” and the two party leaders are not paying attention to this call.
On 10 March, the NRP issued a statement saying that the NRP still maintain the standing and the goal for a unification of the royalists and the liberal democrats, and it strongly believes that, as nationalist, the royalists and the democrats will unite to win the 2008 general election.
The NRP believes that this is the last opportunity for the nationalists, the royalists and the liberal democrats to unite for the survival of the nation, and if no such unification is taking place prior to the 2008 general election, it would be too late and the survival of the nation and the population cannot be resolved, but it will become even more dire than now. Those who will really lose and suffer the most are the people, not the politicians.
The CPP is currently using its “win-win” strategy, will the nationalists, the royalists and the liberal democrats used this “win-win” strategy or will it use the “lose-lose” strategy? Why do the leaderships of 3-4 opposition parties want the country to face hardship problems and the Cambodian people to face poverty?
The NRP also said: “The NRP calls again to Mr. Sam Rainsy’s SRP, and Mr. Kem Sokha’s HRP, to think about this unification to form a large political party to provide a new choice for the more than 5 million Cambodians who will vote for the monarchy and who want to see this unification.” At the same time, the NRP also requested for a common discussion to form a common political program which will serve as the common contract to the Nation and to the Cambodian people, to resolve the survival issues, such as: the issue of territorial integrity, the installation of border markers, the problem of illegal immigrants, the rising price of goods and gasoline, the corruption issue, the lack of independent and fair tribunal, the poverty issue, the violation and grabbing of state lands and lakes, the sales of state-owned properties and buildings, the violation of state power, the violation of freedom, the shrinking of open politics and democracy, the problem of joblessness among the youths, the problem of social injustice, etc….
Opposition leader Sam Rainsy said that he talked about this issue several times already, following the repeated calls made by Prince Ranariddh. He said “The SRP has its stance already, there is no need for any party leader residing overseas to issue a declaration about discussions in the cloud.” He added that he is not paying attention to the prince’s calls. He said that the importance is the unification of the justice-loving people at the grass root levels who want to see change and modernization of the country.
While the prince claimed that the 2008 general election cannot be considered democratically fair without his presence in Cambodia, Sam Rainsy believed otherwise, criticizing the prince of “valuating himself too much.” He said that, even without the presence of the prince, the election can still take place. He said that we know how to think about the election, and it’s not like the prince cannot be replaced. He said that past actions and experiences show that there is no need for contribution from the prince. He explained that, when the prince was in power, he couldn’t even organize a good election, and now that he powerless, (it would be even worse).
HRP president Kem Sokha said that, as long as the prince remains overseas, discussion to form a new political, as called for by the prince, will not happen. He added that: “If he returns back home, then we can think about discussions, but it is not sure on how we are going to unite with each other yet.” He also asked: “The prince knows that he lives overseas and cannot return back, therefore, how can we talk to each other? Are we meeting with emptiness?”
Nevertheless, Kem Sokha believes that the unification with the NRP and the prince will not happen. However, he said that the prince must return back home first, before any decision can be made.

Good job to SRP & HRP
Children of whore of khmer Chinese and American khmer: what you write on this blog shows that you are good to do the louts and delinquent and servants of the USA and not of the qualified politicians that will do something well for Cambodia.
We don't need the dog races as your to Cambodia, understand?
Band of the screwed ones of American Khmers of fuck
Let the real Khmer make their own decision. They are doing alright. Just stop blow every little crap out of proportion. All westerner trained Gorilla should stay out or get the fuck out. You all had your chance, and you blew it big time. What's fair is fair.
first: Ranarith should replace his party logo picture of himself with a current picture of his bald old and wrinkle face. Ranarith is big on ego, he wants to be the prince and politician. He can't have both.
If you want Khmer to make their own decision, then viets need to leave the country. At lease khmer oversea have roots.
"All for one, one for all" as the three mouseketeers ready for battle.
Well, if you didn't want Viets in the country, you shoudn't created Pol Pot in the first place.
11:11pm do you stupid head! know who supported the fucking communist beside the fuck-up Chinese and Russia that you fucking Viet namese goat face Ho mother curser Chiminh.
Vietnamese is the wolf who cry "wolf!"
Trust worhtyness is the issue here. Ranaridh had his chance to reverse the rotten name of his father, but blew it.
Tricked once is enough.
Don't let Rannaridh the looser come back in the political areana. He is done. HUN SEN, you done the right thing. I was a fan of Rannaridh once. Since him and You Hokry sold out most of the positions and ignore their armies and abandoning them. I really hate these crooks. Kick him out HUN SEN, I am giving you thumb up!
Not that easy, mate. If he follow our law, there is nothing we can do to him. Even now, he can come back at will, but he have to go through procedure, that is all.
Ranariddh, a loser and a disgrace Sihaknouk's son should be treated a slave dog to Hun Sen. If he wants to come back to Cambodia, he should suck Hun Sen's dick and lick Bunrany's pussy. This dog is cheaper than prostitute. Go to Hell you son of the bitch.
I think Ouk Phalla won't blow his weeny any more. Phalla will leave him and let this old and ugly Rannaridh miserable. He faled. He disgrace all his former armies. He let them back to border. He let them died. He never pay respect to them back O'Smach.
Vietnamese created Pol Pot in the first place. Since Pol Pot found out the tricks of Vietnamese the YOUN sent in infiltrates and agents and instigated all zones in Pol Pot administration. You got to read the history.
Yeah, but I don't want to learn history of Planet of the Ape.
