In response to a question asked by The Mekong Times during an interview on demonstrations and strikes led by garment workers, Chea Mony, President of the Free Trade Union of Workers in the Kingdom of Cambodia (FTUWKC), said that if the government does not want to see demonstrations and strikes, it only needs to (1) apply the law properly, and (2) eliminate corruption. Chea Mony said that if the government can accomplish these two tasks, “I am certain that demonstrations and strikes will not happen in Cambodia. Demonstrations and strikes take place because there is no fair resolution to the demands made, and there is no respect of the law. Therefore, it is not difficult, if the Cambodian government does not want a bad reputation as a country rife with demonstrations and strikes, then it must abide by the law.” Chea Mony added: “Currently, in Cambodia, the garment workers are not the only one striking or demonstrating, even poor people from rural areas are demonstrating as well. This is so because the law is violated, because of land-grabbing. I want to stress that, we, as workers, do not want to hold demonstration or strike that result in the police arresting us, but we don’t have a choice.”

There's a foolish/childish boy claimed that Cambodia's economy is strong and growth the fastest in the world! Beside, the Garment and Rice Mills factory, does Cambodia has anything else?
Let say, the EU/USA sanction any import from Cambodia because the Cambodia government committed heinous crimes against humanity. What then?
Right now Khmer people is living life under intimidation and fear of the government retaliation. The government created laws and in turn doesn't abide by it own laws.
Why does the people need the government anyway? What for?
The government does not take care of the people needs then the people doesn't need the government.
People let just take kick the hun xen cronies out on the curve.
No such thing, It's all delusional.
Why don't these gorillas tell the US to eliminate corruption. Of course, they will laugh at your dumbass. Again, you fucking gorillas, the fact of the matter is no countries in the world have the ability to eradicate corruption; however, they can only curtain corruption.
You fucking retarded gorillas!
Chea Mony has given us the clearest causes of demonstration and strike.
Though corruption cannot be eliminated, but to curb corruption by abiding with the law is zero under Hun Sen leadership.

When we work honestly and hard to earn our life and with our salary we cannot live correctly and the consumer goods are in abundance, and the social securities do not exist, then we can be incited to the corruption to survive.
The corruption is the result of the perversity of the unbridled liberalism and the wild capitalism. When there is an abundance of the consumer goods, and when there is no purchasing power, and no social securities of the state, to survive, the fastest solution is the corruption.
And to avoid the corruption, the solution it is not demonstrations and social unrests and strikes, but economic development of the country by the work of everybody.
You are 100% right my friend. People are being pushed to the corner by this ruling CPP party. The poor are getting poorer while the rich getting richer by all means... If Cambodian People Party government want to be a respected political party, they must behave like so... Respect is earned, not given!!!
Hey, stop blaming the entire government because we got a few bad apples here. How do you like it if we blamed the US for having Dumboes like you.
