Sam Rainsy's visit to Kompong Chhnang province, Kompong Leng district. The SRP President met with villagers in 5 communes: Kompong Hav, Pau, Chronauk, Da and Svay Ropear. The photos below showing nearly 1,000 people taking part in the SRP meeting in a pagoda on the top of a hill, are from Chronauk commune where the corrupt CPP authorities have recently sold to unscrupulous businessmen 180 lakes (boengs) as well as 300 hectares of rice fields belonging to poor farmers. The commune's whole population now support the SRP in order to get their lands and their lakes back.

I support HE Sam Rainsy for his leadership to lead Cambodia for prosperity and for harmony. Areak Prey
I support every patriot whose pure dedication is to help the Cambodian people get out of Hun Xen's puppetic regime because it is a regime that robs its own people.
Hey, hey, hey, get the fuck out of our holly temple. It is not a National Assembly, Ah savage killer (Xam Rainxy).
Please help save Khmer religion from Ah Savage Killer.

Certainly, Sam Rainsy has the right to visit the people who claim their land has been taken away from them. He probably used a temple so he wouldn't be harassed by the officials in K. C. But it is also equally distressing to allege in their publication that 'corrupt CPP officials' have sold to 'unscrupulous businessmen'. The CPP has anything but a clean record in its land dealings, but fairness and legal principles, that the SRP so ardently promote, require that they submit evidence of the corruption of the officials and the unscrupulousness of the involved businessmen before they state it as a fact.
Their publication is no better than that from the CPP. Under the rule of law this is slander. SRP go back to your offices and come up with something that resonates with all the people.
As opposed to what some posters believe, I am not a supporter of the CPP, but, clearly, I am not a fan of the SRP as it is now either. For them to attract voters across the board a lot must be changed within. The question is whether Sam Rainsy is up to it.
Alright, but they need to keep politic out of the temple no matter what.
Hi Free-Thinker,
It is interesting of how you put a spin and try to paint a good image for CPP by saying “The CPP has anything but a clean record in its land dealings”. If your assertion is true then it is good for the Cambodian people as a whole. But I am convinced that your comment cannot stand test.
You probably fail to notice that the comment in the article did not refer to any member of the SRP, on the contrary the comment was made by the writer.
Good to know that you are not a CPP supporter or SRP supporter, yet you gave a very constructive feedback by asking SRP “For them to attract voters across the board a lot must be changed within”. Free-Thinker, what kind of change do you want to see?
Regards
